Pengujian niat menggunakan web site Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Tadulako dari perspektif mahasiswa

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji model TAM untuk mengetahui niat mahasiswa menggunakan web site Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Tadulako (FE UNTAD) dengan penambahan variabel-variabel eksternal sebagai anteseden, yaitu faktor individual, faktor organisasi, dan faktor sosial. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 272. Data dianalisis menggunakan PLS (Partial Least Square) dengan program smartPLS 2.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model TAM sangat baik untuk memprediksi niat mahasiswa untuk menggunakan web site FE UNTAD. Norma-norma subjektif dan pengalaman internet merupakan konstruk yang berperan sangat penting dalam hubungan kausal di model penelitian.

The aims this study is to investigate the technology acceptance model (TAM) by examining student’s intention to use web site of Economics Faculty at Tadulako University (FE TU). In this case, the study examined a number of external variables as the antecedents which include individual, social, and organizational factors. A sample of 272 respondents participated in the research. In informing the results, the study utilized the partial least square (PLS) model with the support for SmartPLS 2.0 software. The evidence of this investigation demonstrates that the TAM model has been useful to understand the student’s intention to use a web site. Internet experience and subjective norms were found to be important factors in predicting the construct of the causal-relationship process in the model.
