Pengaruh motivasi dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. PG. Madukismo

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi karyawan, menganalisis tingkat kepuasan kerja dan mengetahui pengaruh motivasi kerja, kepuasan kerja dan karakteristik responden terhadap kinerja karyawan. Objek penelitian adalah karyawan PG. Madukismo Yogyakarta. Untuk mencapai tujuan di atas maka digunakan metode skala likert, uji validitasi, uji reliabilitas, analisis deskriptif serta analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 1). Aspek motivasi kerja karyawan PG. Maduksimo telah baik sehingga kinerja yang dihasilkan pun telah maksimal. 2). Aspek kepuasan kerja karyawan, karyawan PG. Manukismo telah cukup puas walau ada beberapa pengurusan tunjangan dirasakan agak berbelit, sehingga kinerja yang dihasilkan cukup baik. 3). Kinerja Karyawan, Faktor demografi (umur, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan dan status perkawinan), faktor motivasi (karakeristik individu, karakteristik pekerjaan, dan karakteristik lingkungan kerja) dan kepuasan kerja secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Dari semua peubah bebas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terlihat bahwa secara pasial peubah umur dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Sedangkan faktor demografi lainnya dan motivasi kerja secara pasial tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. Disarankan agar PG. Madukismo yang sudah cukup baik tetap dipertahankan, sehingga kinerja yang dihasilkan tetap baik. Perusahaan harus memberikan kemudahan kepada karyawan dalam pengurusan tunjangan-tunjangan yang telah disiapkan untuk karyawan, terutama tunjangan sewa rumah, agar kinerja karyawan tidak terganggu.

These objectives of research were to understand rate of employee motivation, analyze rate of work satisfaction and know effects of work motivation, work satisfaction and respondents’ characteristics on employees’ performance. Objects of research were PG. Madukismo Yogyakarta’s employees. To achieve the objectives, Likert Scale Method, validation test, reliability test, descriptive analysis and regression analysis were used. Results of research indicated that (1) aspect of work motivation of PG. Madukismo Yogyakarta’s employees had been good so that resulting performance had also been maximal; (2) aspect of employees’ work satisfaction, PG. Madukismo Yogyakarta’s employees had been sufficiently satisfied although there were some complicated benefit reductions so that resulting performance was also better; (3) demographic factors (age, sex, educational level and marital status), motivational factors (characteristics of individuals, job, and work environment) and work satisfaction collectively had significant effects on employees’ performance. From all independent variables used in this research, it was seen that partially variables of age and work satisfaction had significant effects on employees’ performance. While other demographic factors and work motivation partially did not have any effects on employees’ performance. It is suggested that better PG. Madukismo remained to keep, so that the resulting performance remained to be better. The firm had to give easiness to its employees in administering benefits which had been prepared to employees, especially benefits of house rent, in order that employees’ performance would not be disrupted.
