Sebagai Rumah Sakit Umum milik Pemerintah, Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat (RSUP) dr. Sardjito dituntut untuk memberikan pelayanan optimal kepada masyarakat. Salah satu usahanya dengan menggunakan Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi Informasi (SI dan TI). Namun demikian sampai saat ini penggunaannya sekedar memenuhi operasional semata, belum selaras dengan strategi bisnisnya. Dapat dikatakan bahwa SI dan TI hanya berada pada level Support. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya Perencanaan Strategis Sistem Informasi (SI) bagi RSUP dr. Sardjito. Proses perencanaan SI dilakukan dengan analisis lingkungan internal dan eksternal bisnis SI dan TI. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisa kekuatan bersaing, analisa SWOT, analisa value chain dan analisa critical success factors (CSFs). Analisa-analisa tersebut kemudian akan menghasilkan aktivitas pokok, yang kemudian menimbulkan kebutuhan informasi dan potensi aplikasinya. Berdasarkan portofolio aplikasi, diformulasikan strategi manajemen SI dan TI. Dari penelitian tentang ini, RSUP dr. Sardjito membutuhkan beberapa Sistem Informasi, salah satu yang terpenting adalah Sistem Informasi Manajemen Kontrol yang bersifat strategis dengan harapan memberikan keunggulan kompetitif bagi RSUP dr. Sardjito.

As the Public Hospital, RSUP dr. Sardjito must have an optimal public services. One of the ways is using the Information Systems and Information Technology (IS and IT). But now days, the used of the Information Systems and Information Technology (IS and IT) is just to fulfill the operational requirement but not works hand in hand with business strategy. In other word IS and IT is only full filling on the support level. That’s why RSUP dr. Sardjito needs Strategic Planning for Information System (IS). The process of IS Planning was doing with environment analyze in internal and external business IS and IT. The Competitive Forces analyzes, SWOT analyzes, value chain analyzes and the critical success factors (CSFs) was done after it. All analyzes are causing main activities which cause the need of information and the potential application. According to the portfolio of application formulated with the IS and IT management strategy. According to the Research, RSUP dr. Sardjito needs some Information Systems to be applied. one of the most important is Control Management Information System which adjectively strategic, in order to increase competitive advantage for RSUP dr. Sardjito as a Public Hospital.
