Perbandingan mineral dan genesis dari aquept dan udept di Kecamatan Tempel dan Pakem Kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Tempel dan Pakem. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan komposisi mineral dan sifat kimiawi Aquept dan Udept serta untuk mengetahui tingkat perkembangan tanah antara Aquept dan Udept. Pada penelitian ini dibuat 2 profil pewakil yaitu masing-masing di Kecamatan Tempel dan Pakem. Sampel tanah yang diambil dari setiap profil dan dianalisis sifat fisik yakni, tekstur, struktur, porositas, sifat kimiawi tanah yakni pH (H2O, KCL dan NaF), KPK, Kejenuhan Basa,Berat Volume, nisbah Fe-o/Fe-d, nisbah Debu/Lempung, analisis mineralogi meliputi difraksi sinar-x dan analisis sayatan tipis tanah. Analisis tanah dilakukan di Laboratorium BPTP Yogyakarta, Laboratorium Pertanian Fakultas Pertanian UGM, Laboratorium BPPTK Yogyakarta, analisis mineral dilakukan di Fakultas Geologi UGM. Hasil analisis di laboratorium menunjukkan tanah pada kecama tan Tempel, yaitu pada profil Aquept lebih berkembang dibanding dengan profil Udept pada kecamatan Pakem. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan persentasi lempung pada profil Udept lebih rendah dibanding Aquept, nisbah D/L Aquept (0,93%) lebih rendah dari Udept (4,34%). Hasil analisis sinar-x, dari masing- masing profil menunjukkan terdapatnya mineral primer feldspar,kwarsa,plagioklas, mineral lempung kaolinit,vermiculite, oksida-Al dan oksidabesi. Jenis mineral primer hasil analisis sayatan tipis tanah pada masing- masing profil yang ditemukan pada lokasi penelitian yaitu feldspar, hornblende, kwarsa, opak.

The research was accomplished in Tempel and Pakem sub regency. This study was conducted to know the difference of mineralogy and genesis from Aquept and Udept in Tempel and Pakem sub regency. The research on two profiles representative, one in Tempel sub regency and , one in Pakem sub regency. Soil sample took one each of profiles and that soil was analyzed in laboratory. The physical of soil properties which analyzed were tecsture, structure,porosity of soil, chemistry analysis which were pH (H2O, KCL, NaF), Bulk density, CEC, Base Saturation, ratio of Fe-o/Fe-d, ratio of Silt/Clay, and mineralogy analysis were x-ray diffraction and soil thin section analysis. The soil analysis did at BPTP Laboratory, BPPTK Laboratoy Yogyakarta, Agriculture Laboratory of UGM, Mineralogy analysis (X-ray diffraction) did at Geology Faculty of UGM. The laboratory result of research showed that soil in Tempel sub regency was named Aquept more deve loped than in Pakem sub regency was named Udept That result was showed by percentage of clay in Udept was lower than in Aquept, ratio of Silt/Cla y in Aquept (0,93%) is lower than in Udept (4,34%). The result of x-ray diffraction in each profiles showed that were found some of prime minerals which are feldspar, quartz, plagioclase, some of secondary minerals are kaolinite, vermiculite, Al-oxide, Fe-oxide. The result of soil thin section analysis in each profiles were found some of minerals, which were feldspar, kwarsa, hornblende, opak..
