Pelatihan sahabat anak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi pada anak selective mutism

Selective Mutism (SM) is a disorder characterized by persistent failure to speak in certain social situations (eg in school) but can speak fluently in other situations (at home). This study aimed to verify the effectiveness of the "Sahabat Anak" Training to improve the communication of children, especially verbal communication in children who experience disturbance SM. Subject was a child diagnosed SM with aged 4 years.Intervention using ABA methods with single-subject design. Phase A is the Baseline and B is the intervention phase. The measurement was performed twice, at baseline before and after intervention. This reaserch lasted for 22 meetings, each of the baseline phase consist of six meetings and intervention phase consist of 10 meetings. Results showed an increase in the average frequency of speech the subject of the first baseline phase, intervention, and second baseline. Growth average speech was an increase of 24.53% from the beginning to the end of observation. Sahabat Anak Training can be applied to a female subject that has a high IQ and still be able to communicate with family.
