Analisis tipe kepribadian , faktor demografis dan risk tolerance terhadap keputusan berinvestasi

Peneliti perilaku keuangan secara ilmiah menunjukkan bahwa investor tidak selalu bertindak rasional. Mereka memiliki bias-bias perilaku yang mengarah pada kesalahan sistematis dalam memproses informasi untuk keputusan berinvestasi. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh tipe kepribadian, faktor demografis dan tingkat toleransi risiko terhadap keputusan berinvestasi. Penelitian ini berdasarkan data primer yang dikumpulkan dengan berkomunikasi dengan responden dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Penelitian dilakukan di sekolah pasar modal PT. Bursa Efek Indonesia pada kelas advance. Subyek penelitian sebanyak 100 orang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Investor dikelompokkan ke dalam tipe kepribadian yang berbeda dan faktor demografis yang berbeda. Untuk mengkaji apakah investor dengan tipe kepribadian yang berbeda, faktor demografi dan toleransi risiko berbeda dalam pengambilan keputusan investasi dilakukan uji Kruskal-Wallis. Hasil penelitian ini mendukung pendapat kami bahwa ada hubungan perilaku terhadap pilihan investasi. Sementara itu, dengan menggunakan one way ANOVA, disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan tingkat toleransi resiko antara investor dengan tipe kepribadian dan faktor demografis yang berbeda

Behavioral finance researchers have scientifically shown that investors do not always act rationally. They have behavioral biases that lead to systematic error in the way they process information for investment decision. This paper aims to investigate the effect of personality type of the investor, demographic factors and risk tolerance on investment decision. The paper is based on primary data collected by communicating with the respondents with the help of a structured questionnaire. The study was undertaken in IDX regular education progra m in advance level. The sample size of 100 was used for the study. The investors were classified into different type personalities and demographic factors. To study whether the investors with different type personalities, demographic factors and risk tolerance differ in their investment decision we carried out the Kruskal-Wallis test. The result of this study support our contention that there are behavioral linkages to the choice of investments. Meanwhile, using one way ANOVA, we concluded that there were no significant differences in risk tolerance from different type personalities and demographic factors.
