Pengaruh pemberian informasi obat berdasarkan beers criteria terhaadp pola pemberian obat pada pasien usia lanjut rawat inap penyakit dalam di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto periode Mei-Agustus 2010

Latar Belakang : Perubahan fisiologi tubuh pada usia lanjut berpengaruh terhadap terapi obat baik farmakokinetik maupun farmakodinamik, sehingga lebih sensitif terhadap efek dari obat. Beers Criteria merupakan salah satu tools tentang ketidaksesuaian pengobatan yang mencakup obat-obat yang sebaiknya tidak digunakan atau dapat digunakan dengan perhatian khusus pada pasien usia lanjut (usia 65 tahun ke atas). Salah satu pendakatan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan pemberian informasi obat tentang Beers Criteria untuk mengurangi risiko efek yang tidak dikehendaki pada pasien usia lanjut. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian informasi obat terhadap pola pemberian obat pada pasien usia lanjut rawat inap penyakit dalam RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto berdasar Beers Criteria. Metode : Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan pretest-posttest design. Analisis dilakukan dengan metoda deskriptif untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang pengaruh pemberian informasi obat. Hasil dan Kesimpulan: berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan pemberian informasi obat berdasarkan Beers Criteria Tabel I dan II berpengaruh terhadap penurunan penggunaan obat-obat dalam cakupan Beers Criteria pasien usia lanjut rawat inap RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto masing-masing sebesar 20,27% dan 2,27 %. Beberapa obat dalam cakupan Beers Criteria masih digunakan pada pasien rawat inap RSUD Prof.Dr. Margono Soekarjo karena kebutuhan pasien akan obat tetapi tetap penggunaannya mempertimbangkan risk-benefit obat.

Background : Changes in body physiology in geriatric drug therapy affect the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamic, so it is more sensitive to the effects of the drug. Beers Criteria is one of the tools inappropriate drugs that includes drugs that should not be used or can be used with special attention to elderly patients (aged 65 years or older). One approach that can be done is by providing information about the Beers criteria drugs to reduce the risk of undesirable effects in elderly patients. Objective : This study aimed to determine the effect of drug information on the pattern of drug administration in elderly patients hospitalized in Hospital Prof. disease. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Navan based Beers Criteria. The method used was experimental, pretest-posttest design. The analysis was done with descriptive method to get an idea of the effect of drug information. Method : Based on the final conclusion of drug information based on Beers Criteria Tables I and II influence the decline in the use of drugs within the scope of Beers Criteria elderly patients hospitalized Hospital Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto respectively 20.27% and 2.27%. Some drugs in the coverage of Beers Criteria is still used in hospitals inpatients Prof.Dr. Margono Soekarjo because the patient's need for drug use but still consider the risk-benefit of drugs.
