Indonesia forestry export and its economic growth :: Cointegration and error correction models

This study tries to determine causality relationship between Indonesia Forestry export and its economic growth by applying cointegration and error correction models. In this study, quarterly data of Indonesian GDP and Forestry export from 2000 – 2008 is used. The analysis has shown that there is long run between forestry exports and its economic growth. By employing error correction models no evidence can be found to prove two way causal relationships between two variables.
