Polimorfisme gen interleukin-6 174 G/C pada pasien hipertensi familial dan nonfamilial

Hipertensi esensial merupakan penyebab sebagian besar hipertensi dimana faktor yang berperan adalah genetik dan lingkungan. Beberapa penelitian yang telah dilakukan tentang polimorfisme gen IL-6 174 G/C menunjukkan hasil yang tidak konsisten apakah polimorfisme ini berpengaruh terhadap kejadian hipertensi atau tidak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan polimorfisme gen IL-6 174G/C dengan kejadian hipertensi familial. Penelitian dilakukan pada 92 pasien secara kasus-kontrol. Polimorfisme gen IL-6 diperiksa dengan polmerase chain reaction untuk melihat genotip gen IL-6. karakteristik dasar ditampilkan dalam bentuk rerata, Pengaruh polimorfisme genotip GG, GC serta alel G dan C terhadap tekanan darah subyek akan dianalisis menggunakan chi-square dan bermakna bila p<0,05. Distribusi genotip GG 92.3% pada hipertensi familial dan 95% pada nonfamilial, genotip GC terjadi 7.7% pada hipertensi familial dan 5% pada nonfamilial, tidak ditemukan genotip CC pada kedua kelompok. Analisa statistik hubungan genotip pada pasien hipertensi familial dan nonfamilial tidak bermakna (p=0,694, 95% IK; 0.275-9.111). Distribusi alel G dan C pada kedua kelompok juga tidak bermakna (p=1, 95% IK; 1.360-17.839). Rasio odds polimorfisme IL-6 terhadap kejadian hipertensi familial adalah 1.194 (p=0.69, 95% IK 0.658-2.168 ). Pada penelitian ini polimorfisme gen IL-6 174 G/C tidak berhubungan dengan kejadian hipertensi familial.

Essential hypertension is a major cause of hypertension, in which genetic and environment factors play an important role. Several studies on IL-6 174 G/C gene polymorphisms have been conducted and the results was inconsistent whether the polymorphism influenced the incidence of familial hypertension or no.The aim of this study was to examine the relationship of genetic variation of gene polymorphisms of IL-6 174G/C with familial hypertension. Case-control design research was conducted on 92 patients. IL-6 gene polymorphisms examined by polymerase chain reaction to look at genotype on IL- 6. No significant difference in baseline characteristics between groups of familial and nonfamilial hypertension. Distribution for GG genotype was 92.3% and 95% in familial and nonfamilial hypertension, GC genotype occurred 7.7% of familial hypertension and 5% in nonfamilial, CC genotype was not found in either group. Statistical analysis of genotype correlation between patients with familial and nonfamilial hypertension was not significant (p = 0.694, 95% CI; 0275-9111). Distribution of G and C allele in both groups was not significant (p = 1, 95% CI; 1360-17839). At present study, IL-6 174 G/C gene polymorphisms is not associated with familial hypertension.
