This research was conducted due the importance of speed in driving. The higher the speed the shorter the available time to prevent collision and the more severe are the results of collision. Speed limit regulation has the aim to give guidelines for safe and secure driving. The knowledge about speed limit regulation hopely can affect behaviour of driving, so the accident because speed will be reduce. This research intended to know about the knowledge of driver about speed limit regulation, relationship toward driving behaviour and the reasons may affect drivers to comply or not comply with speed limit regulation. This research used questionaire as an instrument tool. The respondent of this research is everybody who live in Yogyakarta Province and can drive vehicle with the age start from 17, the age where people has already permitted to have driving license. The total population of people who can drive a vehicle in Yogyakarta is not exactly known, therefore, the population is considered infinite. Based on the number of sample tables developed by Isaac and Michael, for 5% error rate with an infinite population, the number of sample is 349, rounded up to 350 samples. Data collected from questionaire will be analyze with correlation and regression analysis. From data collecting, the result show that the level of knowledge of respondent and their behaviour is in middle category, means that respondent know enough about speed limit regulation and they sometimes comply the rules and sometimes not comply with the rules. Dominant factor that affect them to comply or not comply the speed limit regulation is driver do not see any speed limit sign, realize they are not the only road user in road, and other factors such as for safety. The regression analysis using enter method shows that the R score is 0,405. It means that the correlation or relation between knowledge of speed limit with driving behaviour are fair/enough. R square shows 0,164, this means that only 16,4% from knowledge affect to driving behaviour, while the rest of it maybe happen because other reasons.
