Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi jumlah keunjungan wisman China ke Indonesia tahun 2000-2008 (Pendekatan ECM)

This paper tries to identify and estimate the importance of relevant economic factors which could encourage the demand for China tourism to Indonesia period from 2000-2008. China is a potensial tourist market for Indonesia because China’s visitor arrival growth is the highest than the other Asian countries. For the purpose of estimation, the error correction model (ECM) is going to be utilized. The empirical results show that the majority of the variables used in the model are found to be significant and consistent with economics theories. In the long run income are the most significant and become the major determinants of Indonesia’s tourism demand. In the short run, income, tourist cost, trade openess are significantly affect the demand for China tourism to visit Indonesia.
