Soldiers’ are susceptible to get into physical defect, while implementing their duties. The physical defect usually caused by combat injury or traffic accident. The physical defect could evoke the souldiers’ anxiety. The aim of this research is to examined wheter positive thinking training could decrease the soldiers’ anxiety. The intervention is focused on the relationship between the thinking, feeling, and behavior.The subjects of this research are 10 TNI souldiers who are physically defect. This research used untreated control group design with pretest and postest. Anxiety was measured by Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI scale). Results of this research were analyzed both quntitatively and qualitatively. Mann Whitney U-Test was used to analyze result quantitatively. Interview, observation, and worksheet was used to analyze result qualitatively. The result of Mann Whitnye U-Test showed that therewas a significant anxiety difference between the experiment and control group at the post-test measurement (p=0.042, p<0.05). Thus, we can conclude that “positive thinking training could decrease the TNI Souldiers’ who are physical defect anxietyâ€.
