Efektivitas pelatihan lebih dekat dengan masa depanku untuk mencapai kematangan vokasional siswa SMP

One of adolescence’s development task was to achieve vocational maturity. Vocational maturity was a readiness of individual in completing vocational development task shown through the concordance between vocational behaviors of an individual with vocational behaviors expected at the age or life phase of the individuals. Considering the importance of career problem in human life, the children need to be prepared and helped to plan a better future from the beginning. It could be done with giving continuous career educational and guidance. The subjects in this research were the Junior High School students. Participant amount to 24 student, 11 student as an experiment group and 13 student as a controlled group. The training consisted of 9 sessions and was given in 5 times meeting which each meeting was two hours duration. Before and after craining, the subject has been given a scale of vocational maturity. The training matter and the scale of vocational maturity were compiled based on vocational maturity aspect that was self assesment, career exploration, career planning and career decision making. Analysis result of t-tes showed that training “Lebih Dekat dengan Masa Depanku†was effective in assisting Junior High School students in achieve vocational maturity. Subjects that got training Lebih Dekat dengan Masa Depanku†had higher level vocational maturity than subjects that didn’t get the training.
