Produksi biogas dari campuran feses sapi dan ampas tebu (bagasse) dengan rasio C-N yang berbeda

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas biogas yang dihasilkan dari campuran antara feses sapi dan bagasse dengan tingkat rasio C/N yang berbeda, sehingga diketahui campuran yang paling optimal. Ada tiga kelompok perlakuan berdasarkan perbedaan rasio C/N yaitu rasio C/N 22, rasio C/N 30 dan rasio C/N 35 dengan tiga ulangan. Digester tipe batch-feeding kapasitas 20 liter digunakan selama 30 hari pengamatan. Parameter utama adalah kadar BOD dan COD, nilai pH, kadar VFA, volume biogas total dan kadar metan. Feses sapi mempunyai rasio C/N 22,12 dan bagasse mempunyai rasio C/N 198. Kadar bahan kering campuran adalah 7%. Perlakuan rasio C/N 22, rasio C/N 30 dan rasio C/N 35 menurunkan kadar BOD sebesar 54,33%, 27,89% dan 42,86%, dan kadar COD sebesar 35,85%, 8,29% dan 27,88%, mempunyai kadar VFA 27,19 ml mol, 27,86 ml mol dan 30,73 ml mol, menghasilkan biogas sebanyak 29,42 liter, 68,51 liter dan 114,73 liter dengan kadar metan 24,16%, 27,5% dan 23,38%. Penurunan kadar BOD dan COD, nilai pH, temperatur biogas dan total volume biogas berbeda di antara perlakuan. Campuran yang optimal adalah perlakuan rasio C/N 30. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa bagasse dapat digunakan sebagai campuran bahan isian untuk produksi biogas.

This research was done to determine biogas quality produced from mixture of dairy manure and bagasse with different C/N ratio level, and to know the optimal mixture. There were three group treatments based on C/N ratio level : C/N ratio 22, 30 and 35 with three replications each. Nine 20 litre batch-feeding digesters were used during 30 days examination. The main data were BOD, COD, pH and VFA value, total biogas volume and methane value. C/N ratio of dairy manure and bagasse was 22,12 and 198. Dry matter mixture was 7%. BOD value was decreased 54.33%, 27.89% and 42.86%, COD value was decreased 35.85%, 8.29% and 27.88% and biogas was produced 29.42 litre, 68.51 litre and 114.73 litre by each treatment with methane value 24.16%, 27.5% and 23.38%. VFA value was 27.19 ml mol, 27.86 ml mol and 30.73 ml mol during operation. BOD and COD value decretion, pH value, biogas temperature and total biogas volume was different among treatment. The optimal mixture was C/N ratio 30 treatment. This research indicated that bagasse could be used as material mixture in biogas production.
