Nilai budaya dalam Sarawin cerita rakyat Banjar :: Analisis sosiologi sastra

Penelitian berjudul “Nilai Budaya Dalam “Sarawin” Cerita Rakyat Banjar: Analisis Sosiologi Sastra” bertujuan untuk menyajikan transkripsi, terjemahan, nilai budaya, dan fungsi cerita “Sarawin” dalam masyarakat Banjar. Sesuai dengan tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan berlandaskan pada teori sastra lisan, dan teori sosiologi sastra. Langkah-langkah yang ditempuh adalah mengklasifikasikan cerita, perekaman, transkripsi, terjemahan, dan menganalisis cerita “Sarawin” dari segi nilai budaya dan fungsinya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat nilai budaya dalam cerita “Sarawin” dalam hubungan, yaitu (1) manusia dengan Tuhan meliputi nilai kepercayaan, ketaatan, suka berdoa, bersyukur, bertobat, berserah diri, dan kesabaran, (2) manusia dengan masyarakat meliputi nilai gotong royong, musyawarah, kebijaksanaan, persatuan, kepatuhan pada adat, bertanggung jawab, keramahan, suka menolong, saling memaafkan, saling menghargai, perasaan malu, dan menepati janji, dan (3) manusia manusia dengan diri sendiri meliputi nilai bekerja keras, menuntut ilmu, kecerdikan, dan pemberani. Fungsi cerita “Sarawin” dalam masyarakat, yaitu (1) fungsi hiburan, (2) fungsi pendidikan, (3) fungsi kritik sosial, (4) fungsi proyeksi angan-angan kolektifnya, dan (5) fungsi solidaritas.

The purpose of the research entitled “The Cultural Value in the Folklore of Banjar entitled “Sarawin”: The sociology of Literature Analysis” are to present transcription of “Sarawin”, to reveal the cultural value in the “Sarawin”, and to describe the function of the folklore “Sarawin” in Banjar society. According to that purpose, this research using qualitative descriptive method base on oral traditional literary theory, and sociology of literature theory. The steps of research are: classify the folklore, recording the folklore, make transcription of the folklore base on recorded data, translate the folklore “Sarawin” base on recorded and transcription data, and analyzing the cultural value in Sarawin and the function of “Sarawin” in Banjar society. The result of the research shows that there are cultural value in “Sarawin” according to relation between (1) human and God, including the value of believe to God, fidelity to God, praying to God, be grateful to God, repent and forswear to God, resolute, and surrender to God, (2) human and society, including value of mutual cooperation, deliberation, wisdom, unity, and fidelity to customary law, responsibility, kindness, helpful, patience, forgiveness, respect, shameless, and consistence, and (3) human and their own self, including value of hard work, study, cleverness, and braveness. According to the function of the “Sarawin” in Banjar society, the result of the research show that the function of the folklore “Sarawin” in Banjar Society are (1) entertainment function, (2) educative function, (3) social critics function, (4) projecting collective imagination function, and (5) solidarity function.
