Analisis efisiensi biaya perbankan Indonesia dengan menggunakan metode pengukuran stochastic frontier approach

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efisiensi biaya perbankan Indonesia dengan menggunakan stochastic frontier approach. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 49 bank yang ada di Indonesia, yang terdiri dari Bank BUMN, Bank Umum Swasta Nasional, Bank Campuran, dan Bank Asing. Data laporan keuangan diperoleh dari website Bank Indonesia dengan periode penelitian dari Maret 2001 hingga Desember 2006. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode stochastic frontier approach, metode tersebut di analisis dengan program frontier 4.1c. untuk memperoleh skor efisiensi biaya. Pendekatan variabel yang digunakan adalah variabel input sebagai berikut price of labor, price of funds, dan price of physical capital. Sedangkan variabel output yang digunakan adalah total kredit yang diberikan, dan surat berharga yang dimiliki. Setelah dianalisis menggunakan metode stochastic frontier approach, hasilnya adalah terdapat peningkatan nilai efisiensi, dan bank campuran merupakan bank yang paling efisien.

The purpose of this paper is to determine the cost efficiency by using a stochastic frontier approach. The study on this paper is being conducted through 49 banks in Indonesia, which mainly consist State-owned commercial banks, City commercial banks, Joint-stock commercial banks, and Foreign commercial banks. All financial data are gathered through Indonesian Central bank's (BI) website by using the period between Maret 2001 to December 2006. As mentioned above, the study is using a stochastic frontier method a frontier 4.1c. software/ program tool. The tool has been used to gather the costing efficiency score. Variables being used consist of input variable - output variable, where input variable consists of price of input, price of labor, and price of physical capital. Meanwhile the output variable consist of total loans and securities. After running through the Frontier 4.1 program, which results in efficiency score are increasing, Joint-stock commercial banks are the most efficient bank in Indonesia.
