The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of export tax policy on Crude Palm Oil (CPO) export in Indonesia by using an export demand model for period 1994 to 2007. The result show that export tax policy has negative effect on CPO export demand. An increase in one percent of effective tax is predicted to decrease Indonesian CPO export by 0.3 percent. Another result indicate that Gross Domestic Products (GDP) per capita of importing countries has the largest effect on CPO export demand. An increase in one percent of GDP per capita of importing countries is predicted to increase Indonesian CPO export by 5.05 percent.
