Kinerja produksi domba lokal jantan dengan pakan tambahan zeolit dan urea

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja produksi domba lokal jantan dengan pakan tambahan zeolit dan urea. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola searah. Empat belas ekor domba lokal jantan dengan bobot awal 24,27 ± 1,73 kg, berumur sekitar 1 tahun dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok perlakuan. Tanpa tambahan zeolit dan urea (P1), dengan tambahan zeolit 5 % (P2) dan dengan tambahan zeolit 5 % dan urea 2% (P3). Sebagai pakan basal digunakan rumput raja ditambah konsentrat dengan perbandingan 25 : 75 % (dasar bahan kering). Kinerja produksi yang diamati meliputi konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan harian dan konversi pakan serta feed cost per gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan zeolit 5 % tidak meningkatkan konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan harian dan konversi pakan, tetapi secara nyata meningkatkan kecernaan pakan dan menghemat feed cost per gain sebesar 25 %. Penambahan zeolit 5 % dan urea 2 % tidak meningkatkan kinerja domba lokal, tetapi menghemat feed cost per gain sebesar 7 %. Penambahan zeolit 5 %; zeolit 5 % dan urea 2 % tidak nyata terhadap kadar urea darah. Berdasar hasil penelitian disimpulkan penambahan zeolit dapat meningkatkan kecernaan pakan dan menghemat feed cost per gain 25 %, namun belum meningkatkan kinerja produksi domba lokal. Penambahan zeolit dan urea belum meningkatkan kinerja domba lokal, namun menghemat feed cost per gain 7 %.

The objectives of this research were to determine the performance of male local sheep production with zeolite and urea addition on basal diet. By using completely randomized design, fourteen male locally sheeps with average initially bodyweight 24.27 ±1.73 kg, 1 year old, divided into tree groups. Without the addition of zeolites and urea (P1), with an additional 5% zeolite (P2) and with 5% zeolite and 2% urea (P3). The basal diet were the king grass and concentrate with comparison 25 : 75 (dry matter basic). Performance measured were feed consumption, average daily gain(ADG), feed conversion and feed cost per gain. The results showed that the addition of 5 % zeolite does not increase feed consumption, daily weight gain and feed conversion, but significantly improve the feed digestibility and feed cost per gain by 25%. Addiding 5% zeolite and 2% urea did not improve the performance of local sheep, but reduct feed cost per gain 7%. Zeolite addition of 5%; 5 % zeolite and 2% urea no real impact on levels of blood urea. Based on research results addition of zeolite improve feed digestibility and feed cost per gain by 25 %, but did not improve the performance of local sheep. The addition of zeolite otherwise urea did not improve the performance of local sheep, but improve feed cost per gain by 7%.
