The focus of this research is to assess the integration of ticketing system between TransJakarta busway and JABODETABEK commuter train by using Varmlandstrafik AB experience. Data is collected through interview and by browsing the websites, then, it is analyzed by using cross-case synthesis with literature review as the consideration. To support the analysis, stated-preference survey is conducted to generate model of perception on travel time and travel cost and probability mode choice in JABODEBATEK area. There are 104 respondents who live in BODETABEK region, have activities in Jakarta and use private vehicle to do their activities. The integrated ticketing system between TransJakarta busway and JABODETABEK commuter train is developed from the existing ticketing system in TransJakarta busway with some improvement on its application. To support the process of the integrating ticketing system, there are things to be prepared and fixed between the two PTAs. They are the fare structure and administration issue. The fare structure is related to its fare bases (flat or zone or combination of it), consideration for credit cards or debit cards payment, and if it used the zone structure, it needs a simple zone structure. The model of perception of travel time and travel cost of train compare to car/motorcycle is influenced by respondent’s electricity or telephone bill per month and vehicle ownership. There are two models of mode choice probability; they are ticketing system1 and ticketing system2. From these models, in order to increase the train probability, it is suggested that the cost difference between train and car/motorcycle is about Rp.18.000,- to Rp.24.000,- and ticketing system2 is about Rp16.000,- to Rp.20.000,- and also the time difference between train and car/motorcycle for ticketing system1 is about 0.6 to1.2 hour and ticketing system2 is about 0.6 to1 hour. The need of integrated ticketing system in JABODETABEK is to increase the access of public transport in order to make an easier transit or transfer process, increase the number of passengers which implies to reduce the private vehicles user, improving public transport market share and reducing externalities.
