Corporate governance sebagai variabel pemoderasi dari pengaruh economic value added terhadap shareholder value

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan bukti empiris bahwa; (1) Economic Value Added berpengaruh pada shareholder value , dan (2) Pengaruh corporate governance terhadap pengaruh Economic Value Added pada shareholder value . Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan nonkeu a ngan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) perioda tahun 2003 – 2007. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisi s regresi biasa dan analisis regresi berjenjang yang memasukkan variabel moderasi. . Hasil pengujian hipotesis menun jukkan bahwa Economic Value Added berpengaruh p ositif terhadap shareholder value . Selain itu hasil penelitian juga menemukan bahwa corporate governance merupakan variabel pemoderasi dari pengaruh Economic Value Added terhadap shareholder value . Atau dengan kata lain dapat dikatakan bahwa penerapan corporate governance dapat semakin memperkuat pengaruh Economic Value Added terhadap shareholder v alue .

This research is conducted to obtain em pirical evidence that (1) there is an influence of Economic Value Added on shareholder value, (2) the influence of corporate governance practices as a moderating variable of Economic Value Added and shareholder value relationship . The sample used in this r esearch is non financial company that listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (ISE) period 2003 - 2007. A regression analysis with interaction is use to test the hypothesis. Hypothetical test results show that Economic Value Added have a positive influence on shareholder value . Besides that , test results also show that corporate governance is a moderating variable to the influence of Economic Value Added on shareholder va lue. In other word, we can say that corporate governance practices can strengthen the influ ence of Economic Value Added on shareholder value
