2009 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu FisikaTelah diteliti karakteristik listrik, absorpsi, dan respon gas lapisan tipis berbasis larutan poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS). Perkembangan aplikasi PEDOT:PSS sebagai lapisan penyangga pada peranti opto-elektronik membutuhkan kajian lebih tentang sifat-sifat listrik, sifat optic, dan sensitivitasnya terhadap gas. Preparasi lapisan tipis PEDOT:PSS berbedabeda untuk tiap karakterisasi. Larutan PEDOT:PSS dideposisi di atas substrat PCB yang telah dilengkapi elektroda interdigital tembaga untuk meneliti karakteristik listriknya. Arus-tegangan lapisan tipis diukur menggunakan I-V meter. Arus lapisan tipis PEDOT:PSS meningkat ketika tegangan dan suhu naik. Semakin besar tegangan yang diberikan semakin kecil energy aktivasi lapisan tipis PEDOT:PSS. Untuk karakterisasi absorpsi, larutan PEDOT:PSS dideposisi di atas substrat ITO. Lapisan tipis PEDOT:PSS dan substrat ITO dikarakterisasi menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-vis. PEDOT:PSS mengabsorpsi cahaya di daerah tampak. PEDOT:PSS dispincoating di atas sepasang elektroda ITO untuk karakterisasi paparan gas. Lapisan tipis PEDOT:PSS ditempatkan dalam tabung uji. Lapisan tipis tersebut dipapar dengan gas amoniak pada kondisi vakum. Resistansi lapisan tipis PEDOT:PSS berkurang ketika dipapar gas amoniak. Hasil karakterisasi listrik, absorpsi, dan uji gas menunjukan bahwa lapisan tipis PEDOT:PSS respon terhadap suhu, cahaya, dan paparan gas.
The electrical, absorption, and gas response characteristic of thin films based on solution poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) have been investigated. Improvement application of PEDOT:PSS as buffer layer in opto-electronic devices need more study about properties of this material. PEDOT:PSS prepared by different method for different characterization. PEDOT:PSS deposited on PCB substrate provided with copper interdigital electrodes to investigated electrical characteristic. Current-voltage of thin film measured by I-V meter. Current-voltage characteristic showed non-linear curve at room temperature and electrical current increased when increasing temperature. Activation energy derived from thin film current-voltage characteristics with varied temperature. For absorption characterization PEDOT:PSS deposited on ITO substrate. Thin film PEDOT:PSS and ITO substrate characterized by UV-vis spectrophotometer. PEDOT:PSS absorbed light in visible region. For sensing gas characterization. PEDOT:PSS thin film placed in test tube on vacuum condition exposed by ammonia gas. Resistance of thin film PEDOT:PSS decreased when exposed by ammonia. Electrical, absorption and gas treatment characterization resulted indicate that PEDOT:PSS thin film response toward temperature, light, and gas sensing.
