Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan yang dilakukan organisasi pekerja di PTPN IX dalam menyikapi terjadinya penggarapan atas areal Hak Guna Usaha (HGU) perusahaan oleh penggarap, faktor-faktor yang mendorong organisasi pekerja di PTPN IX ikut serta dalam upaya menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan penggarapan atas areal HGU perusahaan oleh penggarap dan keikutsertaan organisasi pekerja PTPN IX dalam upaya menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan terjadinya penggarapan atas areal HGU tersebut sesuai dengan fungsi dan tujuan dari organisasi pekerja sebagaimana yang diatur dalam Undang-Undang. Penelitian mengenai peranan organisasi pekerja di PTPN IX dalam menyikapi terjadinya penggarapan atas areal Hak Guna Usaha (HGU) perusahaan ini merupakan penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif analitis sehingga diharapkan dapat memperoleh gambaran yang menyeluruh dan jelas tentang masalah yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peranan yang dilakukan oleh organisasi pekerja di PTPN IX dalam menyikapi penggarapan atas areal HGU perusahaan adalah dengan cara ikut mengamankan areal HGU Kebun, ikut berjuang untuk mendapatkan kepastian hukum dan pro aktif melakukan pendekatan sosial terhadap masyarakat sekitar kebun. Faktor-faktor yang mendorong organisasi pekerja PTPN IX ikut serta menyikapi aksi penggarapan atas areal HGU oleh penggarap karena organisasi pekerja memandang perusahaan merupakan sumber penghidupan dan kesejahteraan pekerja, adanya jiwa korsa, adanya rasa memiliki (sense of belonging) terhadap perusahaan, dan perwujudan serikat pekerja sebagai mitra perusahaan dalam hubungan industrial. Keikutsertaan organisasi pekerja FSPBUN PTPN IX dalam upaya menyelesaikan masalah penggarapan atas areal HGU adalah sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Ketenagakerjaan dan Undang-undang Serikat Pekerja yaitu serikat perikat turut menjaga kelangsungan produksi perusahaan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan pekerja dan keluarganya.

The present study intends to know the role played by the workers organization in PTPN IX in responding the reclaimed area under the right in use of business (HGU) of the company by reclaimers, the stimulating resolving the problems related to the reclaim of the area under the right in use of business of the company by the reclaimers and the participation of the workers organization of the PTPN IX in an effort of resolving the problem related the reclaim according to function and goal of the workers organization as stipulated in the Laws. The study of the role of the workers organization in PTPN IX in responding the reclaim of the area of the company is a descriptive analysis that it is expected to describe as a whole the problem being studied. The result of the study showed that the role of the workers organization in PTPN IX in responding the reclaim of the area under the right in use of business of the company included the participation in guarding the area and struggled to find the legal certainty and even actively made social approach to the community around the plantation. The stimulating factors of the workers organization of PTPN IX to participate in responding the reclaim action by the reclaimers was due to the company is the source of life and welfare of the workers, spirit of corps, sense of belonging to the company and realization of the workers organization as the patner of the company in industrial relation. Participation of the workers organization FSPBUN PTPN IX in an effort of resolving the problem of reclaim action of the area under the right in use of business of the company according to the Laws of Manpower and Laws of Union Labour was its function keeping production sustainability and struggle the welfare of member along with their families.
