Peranan liurai dan ritual lisan dalam adopsi inovasi usahatani sayuran melalui farmer field school di Timor-Leste

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pengaruh faktor eksternal petani (Peranan Liurai, Lisan /adat, Penyuluh Pertanian dan Luas Lahan) dan faktor internal petani (Umur, Pendidikan Formal, Pendidikan Nonformal, Motivasi, Perspesi Petani Terhadap Pasar dan Sikap Petani Terhadap Inovasi ) terhadap keaktifan petani dalam mengikuti kegiatan FFS di Sub Distritu Manatuto dan Lospalos. (2) Menjelaskan pengaruh keaktifan petani dalam mengikuti kegiatan FFS terhadap tingkat adopsi inovasi usahatani sayuran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey. Responden dari penelitian adalah petani yang mengikuti farmer field school di sub Distritu Manatuto dan Lospalos diambil secara proporsional straified random sampling, yaitu 20 orang untuk pengurus dan 80 orang untuk anggota FFS sehingga total sampelnya adalah 100. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah faktor eksternal petani dan faktor internal petani serta variabel keaktifan petani dalam mengikuti kegiatan FFS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa, dua faktor internal petani yaitu pendidikan formal dan pendidikan nonformal berpengaruh nyata terhadap keaktifan petani dengan nilai signifikasi masing-masing 0,001untuk pendidikan nonformal dan 0,034 untuk pendidikan formal. Sedangkan faktor eksternal petani hanya peranan Liurai yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap keaktifan petani dengan nilai signifikasi 0,016, selanjutnya variabel keaktifan petani juga berpengaruh nyata terhadap tingkat adopsi inovasi usahatani sayauran dengan tingkat signifikasi 0,001

The objectives of research were to (1) understand effect of external factors of farmers (Role of Liurai, Lisan, Agriculture Extension and Land Area) and internal factors of farmers (Age, Formal Education and Nonformal Education, Motivation, Perception for Market and Attitude of Farmers to Innovation) on farmers’ activeness in following activities of FFS in Sub Distritu Manatuto and Lospalos, (2) explain effects of farmers’ activeness in following FFS activities on innovation adoption level of vegetables farming . This research used survey method. Respondents of research were farmers who followed farmer field school in sub Distritu Manatuto and Lospalos who were taken randomly from 20 administrators of FFS and 80 members of FFS, so that total samples were 100.Variables used in this research were external factors of farmers (role of Liurai, Lisan/adat, roles of Agriculture extension and Land area) and internal factors (age of farmers, formal and Non formal education of farmers, perception of farmers for market, attitude of farmers to innovation and motivation of farmers), and activeness variables of farmers in following FFS activities in sub Distritu Manatuto and Lospalos. Results of analysis indicated that two internal factors, namely, formal and informal educations, really affected activeness of farmers with significant values of 0.034 for formal education and 0.001 for Non forma l education respectively. While external factors of farmers, namely, role of Liurai, really affected activeness of farmers with significant value of 0.016. Furthermore, activeness variables of farmers also really affected level of vegetables farming innovation adoption through FFS in sub Distritu Manatuto and Lospalos with significant rate of 0.001.
