Karsadang Tourism Package sebagai bentuk paket wisata minat khusus di kawasan Goa Cerme, Kecamatan Imogiri, Kabupaten Bantul

2009 | Tesis | S2 Magister Kajian PariwisataPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bentuk paket pengembangan wisata minat khusus di kawasan kars Goa Cerme, Kecamatan Imogiri, Kabupaten Bantul berdasarkan potensi kawasan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survai, bersifat deskriptif. Penentuan sampel menggunakan pusposive sampling. Data primer dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan observasi lapangan, sedangkan data sekunder ditempuh dengan dokumentasi. Kuesioner digunakan untuk memperoleh karakteristik pasar, berisi pertanyaan sosial demografi yang meliputi jenis kelamin, umur, pendidikan, pekerjaan, penghasilan, asal daerah. Pertanyaan psikografi berisi alasan, motivasi dan keberanian bertualang. Dokumentasi digunakan untuk menggambarkan kondisi riil produk. Observasi lapangan untuk memperkuat data dari kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik pasar adalah berumur muda, terpelajar, suka petualang, belum bekerja, datang berombongan, belanja masih sedikit dan berasal dari daerah sekitar. Kegiatan utama mereka adalah menelusur goa dan relaksasi. Walaupun hanya sedikit, pengunjung dengan kegiatan bersemedi telah membangaun citra sebagai goa sakral. Kawasan ini mempunyai 3 potensi wisata utama bernilai tinggi, yaitu kegiatan bertani di lahan kering, penelusuran Goa Cerme dan pengamatan budaya telaga. Ketiga potensi itu dikemas menjadi Karsadag Tourism Package, merupakan perpaduan kegiatan agrowisata dan adventuring yang mempunyai nilai pembelajaran. Paket ini meliputi kegiatan yang diikuti, lokasi, jumlah peserta, waktu, peralatan yang dibutuhkan, ittenerary, dan taripnya. Penyusunan strategi perngembangan berkelanjutan dengan etno-konservasi dan pemanfaatan hasilnya. Strategi pemberdayaan dan keterlibatan masyarakat ditempuh untuk memperkuat strategi pengermbangan berkelanjutan. Agar memperoleh pengunjung yang diharapkan ditempuh strategi linkage dengan obyek wisata lain. Strategi diversifikasi produk ditempuh untuk memperpanjang lama tinggal melalui pengaktifan kembali budaya lokal dan zonasi kawasan.
The study aims to find out the development package of the specific interest tourism in Cerme Cave area, Imogiri Sub-district, Bantul Regency based on the potentials of the region. The study used descriptive survey method, in which samples were determined by purposive sampling. Questionnaires and field observation were conducted to collect primary data, whereas documentation was done to obtain secondary data. The questionnaires to obtain market characteristics consisting of social demographic-based questions which comprise sex, age, education, occupation, income, origin of the visitors. The psychographic-based questions consist of reason and motivation of the visit, and courage for adventure. The documentation was used to describe the real condition of the product, while the field observation was to enhance the data collected from the questionnaires and the documentation. The research findings suggest that the market characteristics are young aged, mostly male, educated, and adventuresome, currently having no occupation, in-group visit, low in expense, and coming from the nearby areas. Their main activities are tracing the cave and having relaxation. The cave is well-known as a sacred cave despite few visitors coming to the place for meditation. The region has three highly valuable key tourism potentials which refer to the activities of engaging in dry farming, tracing Cerme Cave and observing the culture of the existing lake. Those three potentials are packaged into Karsadag Tourism Package. This package serves as a combination of the agro-tourism and the adventuring activities presenting high educational values. This package comprises attended activities, location, and number of participants, time, needed equipment, itinerary and cost. The strategy for preparing Karsadag Tourism Package is conducted using the sustainable development that focuses on the ethno conservation and the exploitation of output. The empowerment strategy and community involvement shall be performed to strengthen the strategy of the sustainable development. In order to increase the targeted intended numbers of the visitors, linkage strategy with other tourist resorts shall be implemented. To lengthen the occupancy of the visitors, product diversification is worth implementing through preserving the local culture and zoning policy.
