Arahan penataan ruang jalan di Jalan DR. Rajiman Coyudan Solo ditinjau dari setting fisik dan aktivitas pengguna ruang kawasan

Secara geografis Kawasan Coyudan terletak di timur Kota Surakarta. Kawasan ini menghubungkan bagian timur dan bagian barat Kota Surakarta dan Kota Solo dengan kota Yogyakarta dan Sukoharjo. Kawasan yang terletak antara Keraton Kasunanan dan Pura Mangkunegaran ini juga merupakan penghubung daerah komersial di sekitarnya, yaitu antara Pasar Klewer dengan Pasar Singosaren, serta Kawasan Nonongan dengan Kawasan Singosaren. Kawasan Coyudan merupakan kawasan yang padat, baik oleh bangunan maupun aktivitas kawasan. Padatnya aktivitas fomal kawasan memicu tumbuhnya sektor informal, yaitu PKL. Selain itu, padatnya bangunan mengakibatkan penggunaan jalan untuk parkir pengunjung kawasan. Kepadatan ini ditambah dengan aktivitas lalu lintas di kawasan ini, dimana jalur ini merupakan jalur utama menuju kawasan perdagangan Singosaren, serta merupakan jalur penghubung antara kota solo dengan kota sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menata ruang Jalan DR Rajiman, Coyudan Solo agar dapat mewadahi aktivitas penggunanya. Dengan fokus pada elemen fisik dan aktivitas di kawasan. Proses penelitiaan menggunakan metode kualitatif eksploratif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dan dianalisis secara induktif. Metode ini mendudukkan teori sebagai background knowledge, di mana proses penyusunan arahan penataan tertumpu pada fenomena yang ada di lapangan yang disusun dalam unit-unit informasi. Dari hasil pengamatan di lapangan, terdapat beberapa temuan, Toko yang menjadi magnet di kawasan Coyudan hanya sebagian kecil, yang berdampak sepinya parkir di tempat-tempat tertentu. Mayoritas kendaraan yang melintas tidak berhenti di kawasan, Pejalan kaki berjalan di ruang yang tidak digunakan oleh aktivitas pengguna yang lain dan alasan PKL berjualan di Coyudan bukan hanya karena kawasan ramai pengujung, namun juga karena mudah diakses. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini diwujudkan pada arahan penataan jalur pedestrian dan jalan. Penataan jalur pedestrian sebagai jalur pejalan kaki yang menyediakan elemen yang memberikan kenyamanan bagi pejalan kaki serta dapat mewadahi PKL. Penataan jalan sebagai jalur sirkulasi lalu lintas yang dapat mewadahi aktivitas parkir kawasan. Arahan tersebut menjadi dasar untuk memberikan saran kepada pihak terkait yaitu pemerintah kota Solo, perencana dan perancang kawasan dan peneliti. Arahan tersebut berupa bagaimana menata kawasan Jalan DR Rajiman, Solo dalam upaya menghidupkan kembali kawasan tersebut.
