Studi efek memori (memory effect) hidroksida ganda terlapis Zn-Al yang mengandung anion Cl, No3, and SO4

2009 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu KimiaTelah dipelajari efek memori (memory effect) terhadap Hidroksida Ganda Terlapis (HGT) Zn-Al yang terbuat dari garam nitrat, klorida dan sulfat. HGT Zn-Al disintesis secara stokiometri pada rasio mol Zn:Al adalah 3:1 dengan metode kopresipitasi dan hidrotermal. Konversi HGT Zn-Al menjadi campuran oksida logam diperoleh melalui pemanasan HGT pada temperatur 400º C selama 2 jam. Rekonstruksi HGT Zn-Al dibuat dengan cara mereaksikannya pada larutan natrium nitrat 0,01 M. Zn0,745Al0,255(OH)2Cl0,255.0,806H2O, Zn0,702Al0,298(OH)2(NO3)0,298.1,882H2O dan Zn0,711Al0,289(OH)2(SO4)0,144.1,134H2O telah disintesis. Kemudian dibuat campuran oksida logamnya dan direkonstruksi menjadi HGT Zn-Al kembali. Hasil analisis difraksi sinar-X dan spektrometer Fourier Transform Infrared menunjukkan bahwa HGT Zn-Al dapat direkonstruksi setelah pemanasan. Hasil penelitian ini dimungkinkan untuk mendaur ulang dan memanfaatkan kembali HGT setelah strukturnya mengalami kerusakan.
Memory effect’s study of Zn-Al Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs) containing nitrate, chloride and sulphate anions has been performed. Zn-Al LDHs were synthesized by coprecipitating and hydrothermal methods with Zn:Al molar ratio of 3:1. The conversion of Zn-Al LDHs to the corresponding mixed metal oxide were carried out by heating Zn-Al LDHs at 400º C for 2 hours. The reconstruction of Zn-Al-LDHs were done by reacting the mixed metal oxide with solution of sodium nitrate 0.01 M. Zn0.745Al0.255(OH)2Cl0.255.0.806H2O, Zn0.702Al0.298(OH)2(NO3)0.298.1.882H2O, and Zn0.711Al0.289(OH)2(SO4)0.144.1.134H2O were synthesized. Their mixed metal oxide were made and then reconstructed to Zn-Al-LDHs. The results of X-Ray Diffraction and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry analyses showed that Zn-Al LDHs could be reconstructed after calcination. This work may enable to recycle and reuse of LDHs after the structure damaged.
