Distribusi sel T CD4 plus dan sel T CD8 plus pada pterigium progresif dan stasioner

Pterigium merupakan lesi degenerasi dan hiperplastik dengan ciri pertumbuhan fibrovaskuler dari konjungtiva bulbi ke kornea. Penelitian dengan limfosit T menunjukkan bahwa imunitas seluler dan hipersensitivitas berperan dalam pembentukan pterigium. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi dan rasio sel T CD4+, CD8+, perbedaan intensitas penandaan CD4+ dan CD8+ pada pterigium progresif dibandingkan stationer. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analisis observasional dengan rancangan crosssectional. Pterigium dibagi secara klinis progresif dan stationer. Jaringan pterigium diambil dan dilakukan pewarnaan imunohistokimiawi. Jumlah dan ekspresi sel T subset dihitung dan hasil dinilai. Sampel didapatkan masing-masing kelompok sebesar 14. Nilai ekspresi CD4+ pterigium stationer sebesar rata-rata 5.409,07. CD4+ pterigium progresif sebesar ratarata 20.767,30. CD8+ pterigium stationer sebesar 6.505.47. CD8+ pterigium progresif sebesar 20.673.32 Rasio sel CD4+ dan CD8+ pterigium stationer 0,71 dan pterigium progresif 1,12. Nilai ekspresi CD4+ dan CD8+ pterigium progresif lebih tinggi dibandingkan pterigium stasioner.

A pterygium is a degenerative and hyperplastic lesion characterized by the fibrovascular outgrowth of bulbar conjunctiva onto the cornea. Studies with T lymphocytes have shown the cellular immunity and hypersensitivity reactions may also participated in the pterygium development. The objective of this study was to evaluate the distribution, ratio and the differences intensity of CD4+ and CD8+ on the stationary pterygium compare with progressive pterygium. This study was an analytic observational with cross-sectional design between two groups of stationary and progressive pterygium. Formalin-fixed and paraffinembedded of the pterygium specimen were analyzed for the T cell expressions immunohistochemically. Each groups has 14 samples, whereas, the expressions of the CD4+ in the stationary group were 5.409.07. In the progressive group were 20.767,30. The expressions of the CD8+ in the stationary group were 6.505.47 in the progressive were 20.673.32. The CD4+ and CD8+ cell ratio in stationary pterygium was 0.71 and progressive group was 1.12. In conclusion there were significant statistically differences expression of the CD4+ and CD8+ higher in the progressive pterygium than stationary group.
