Perbedaan efektivitas antara demineralized bovine bone powder dan hydroxyapatite beta tricalcium phosphate pada perawatan kerusakan intraboni

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pebedaan efektivitas antarabahan cangkok tulang Demineralized Bovine Bone Powder (DBBP) dan Hydroxyapatite β Tricalcium Phosphate pada perawatan kerusakan intraboni pada manusia ( H β TCP). Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 6 pasien dengan jumlah sampel 20 gigi yang dibagi dalam 2 kelompok perlakuan, masing-masing 10 sampel. Kelompok I diberi perlakuan bedah flap dengan Demineralized Bovine Bone Powder dan kelompok II diberi perlakuan bedah flap dengan Hydroxyapatite β Tricalcium Phosphate. Setelah perawatan fase awal, dilakukan pengukuran data awal dan 3 bulan setelah perawatan meliputi kedalaman poket/Probing Depth (PD), tingkat perlekatan klinis/Clinical Attachment Level (CAL), tinggi puncak tulang alveolar / Crestal Height of Bone (CHB), bleeding on probing (BOP). Data PD, CAL, CHB dianalisis dengan Uji-t berpasangan, selanjutnya untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara kedua kelompok dilakukan uji-t independent. Sedangkan data BOP dengan Uji Mann Whitney . Hasil menunjukkan ada perbedaan bermakna untuk pengurangan kedalaman poket, peningkatan perlekatan klinis, tinggi puncak tulang alvolar dan perdarahan probing sebelum dan setelah 3 bulan perawatan (p<0,05), akan tetapi tidak terdapat perbedaan efektivitas antara Demineralized Bovine Bone Powder (DBBP) dan Hydroxyapatiteβ Tricalcium Phosphate H β TCP) pada perawatan kerusakan intraboni terhadap pengurangan PD, peningkatan CAL dan CHB serta pengurangan BOP.
Intrabony defect is the sign of alveolar bone destruction. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Demineralized Bovine Bone Powder (DBBP) and Hydroxyapatite β Tricalcium Phosphate (H β TCP) as regenerative therapy for intrabony defect in humans. This study was performed by 20 samples of 6 patients and divided into 2 groups. Ten samples were treated by flap and DBBP procedure and the remain of 10 by flap and Hydroxyapatite β Tricalcium Phosphate. Changes in findings within periodontal pocket depth, clinical attachment level and crestal height of bone before and 3 months after tratment were analyzed by means of the student paired t-test and independent t-test to analysis of differences between the groups.. Whereas the measurements of bleeding on probing by Mann-Whitney test to analysis of differences between the groups. The result of this study revealed that periodontal pocket depth, clinical attachment level, crestal height of bone and bleeding on probing were significantly differences before and after treatment (p<0,05), but not any significantly differences between DBBP and Hydroxyapatite β TCP in the treatment of intrabony defect toward PD reduction, CAL gain, CHB gain and BOP reduction.
