Analisis keefektifan penerapan just in time pada PT Adi Budaya Cipta Magelang

Just in time merupakan salah satu fenomena yang sedang banyak dibicarakan dalam industri manufaktur. Just In Time menekankan upaya kontinuitas pengurangan pemborosan dan ketidakefektifanan. Tujuan utama dari sistem Just in time adalah untuk dapat memproduksi sebuah produk dengan kualitas yang terbaik, ongkos yang termurah dan pengiriman pada saat yang tepat. Tujuan utama ini bisa dicapai apabila ketiga unsur tersebut dilakukan secara terpadu dengan melakukan pengendalian kualitas dengan baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi penerapan JIT yang telah ada pada PT Adi Budaya Cipta Magelang kemudian menganalisa hasil yang diperoleh dengan memperhatika kelima area penelitian, dan mencari alternatif penyelesaian dari setiap kelemahan yang ada pada perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan sebuah alat yaitu JIT Effectiveness Assessment. JIT Effectiveness Assessment adalah suatu alat yang digunakan untuk membantu melakukan analisa yang terdiri dari item- item yang berhubungan dengan area penelitian. Area penelitian itu adalah Manufacturing technical systems requiremnents, Supplier relationship, Human resources, Quality and reliability, Appraisal and evaluation of benefits of implementation. Dari masing- masing area diperoleh gambaran mengenai setiap aktivitas yang berhubungan dan mendukung kegiatan produksi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan JIT tidak bisa hanya dilakukan pada satu aspek saja, misalnya aspek produksi saja. Melainkan semua aspek dalam perusahaan juga harus mendukung. Karena apabila ingin system JIT ini berjalan dengan baik maka perusahaan harus menerapkannya disemua area. Area-area yang dimaksud adalah mulai dari level top manajemen, semua departemen yang ada, sumber daya manusia, keuangan, pengadaan, bagiam produksi, sampai ke level yang paling bawah, para pekerja. Apabila semuanya terkoordinasi dengan baik dan semua paham akan filosofi JIT maka system JIT akan dengan baik diterapkan. Evaluasi yang terus menerus pada penerapan ini juga menjadi hal penting yang akan turut membangun penyempurnaan penerapan system JIT.

Just in time is one of the booming fenomena in the manufacturing industry. Many people talking about the systems. JIT is stressing to the idea of eliminating the waste and the uneffective ness. The main purpose of the just in time is to produce a product with the best quality, the cheapest costs, and the on time delivery. These purpose can be achieved if the three components were done by controlling the quality of the product. The goal of this research is to identify the just in time implementation which is already implemented by PT Adi Budaya Cipta Magelang, and then analyzing the result from the five areas, and fine the solution for the problems. In this research the writer using a tool to help that is JIT Effectiveness Assessment. JIT Effective Assessment is a tool which is used to help the writer to analyze the items in the five areas of research. Those five areas are manufacturing technical systems requirements, supplier relationship, human resources, quality and reliability, appraisal and evaluation of benefits of implementation. The description from five areas were got to help to explain the related activities and the production process. The summary of this research is shown that the JIT implementation can’t be done only from one areas only, such as production aspect only. But all the aspects should be support. Because if the company want the JIT systems is run well, the company should implement the JIT in all of the systems. Should be implemented from the very top of the management, all the departments in the company, such as human resource management, production, finance, to the very bottom of the organization structure, such as the workers. If all these elements is coordinate well and all of the component understand about the JIT philosophy then the JIT system can be done effectively. And will also need for the continous improvements and evaluation for the JIT systems to improve the JIT implementation.
