Pengaruh kualitas informasi, kemampuan individual dan norma subyektif terhadap niat mahasiswa dalam menggunakan internet sebagai sumber pustaka

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi niat mahasiswa dalam menggunakan internet sebagai sumber pustaka atau sebagai bahan referensi, yaitu faktor kualitas informasi, kemampuan individual (computer self efficacy dan knowledge search domain) dan norma subyektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan model TAM (technologi acceptance model) sebagai model dasar penelitian dengan menggabungkannya dengan konstruk dalam Theory planned behavior (TPB) untuk menyempurnakan model TAM tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian empiris dengan teknik quota sampling di dalam pengumpulan data. Data yang diperoleh dengan menyebarkan kuesioner sebanyak 360 di seluruh fakultas Universitas Gadjah Mada baik untuk jenjang pendidikan S1 maupun S2 secara merata, masing-masing 20 kuesioner dan memiliki respon rate yang mencapai 100%. Analisis data dilakukan dengan Structural Equation Model (SEM) dengan Program AMOS versi 5.0. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas informasi berpengaruh berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap niat mahasiswa menggunakan internet internet sebagai sumber pustaka dengan perceived usefulness sebagai mediasi. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan individual (computer self efficacy dan knowledge search domain) berpengaruh berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap niat mahasiswa menggunakan internet internet sebagai sumber pustaka dengan perceived ease of use sebagai mediasi, morma subyektif dapat berpengaruh secara langsung pada niat mahasiswa dalam menggunakan internet sebagai sumber pustaka tanpa dimediasi oleh perceived usefulness dan perceived ease of use

This research intends to analyze factors that affect the students’ intention in using internet as literature source or reference, that is information quality factor, individual capability (computer self-efficacy and knowledge search domain), and subjective norms. This research using TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) as basic research model and combine this with construct in Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) to complete the TAM. This research is an empirical observation under the technique of quota sampling in the data collecting. Data gained by disseminating 360 questionnaires overall the Faculties at Gadjah Mada University, either scholars (S1) or postgraduated (S2) students evenly, 20 questionnaires each. This implementation has a 100% rate of responds. The data analysis conducted under the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with AMOS Program Version 5.0. The result of this research shows that information quality positively and significantly affects the students’ intention in using the internet as literature source with perceived usefulness as mediation. Moreover, this research also shows that individual capability (computer self-efficacy and knowledge search domain) positively and significantly affects the student’s intention in using the internet as literature source with perceived ease of use as mediation. Other finding is that subjective norms may directly affect the student’s intention in using the internet as literature source without the mediation of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use.
