Analisis karir perawat di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh

Latar Belakang: Karir merupakan bentuk penghargaan kepada tenaga keperawatan atas pengabdian kepada rumah sakit. Pengelolaan karir perawat dimulai dari perencanaan untuk penempatan perawat sesuai dengan keahliannya. Pengelolaan karir di lahan klinik merupakan suatu hal dasar bagi organisasi pelayanan kesehatan. Manajer keperawatan harus mengembangkan diri perawat, sehingga dapat mencapai kepuasan karir dan kepuasan kerja. Tujuan penelitian: mengetahui bagaimanakah pengelolaan karir perawat di rumah sakit umum daerah (RSUD) dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriftif, informan utama penelitian perawat pelaksana yang terdiri perawat junior, perawat senior dan sarjana keperawatan data diperoleh dengan FGD sedangkan informan pendukung kelompok manajemen data diperoleh dengan indepth interview. Hasil: komitmen pimpinan terhadap karir perawat secara umum belum berjalan dengan baik dirumah sakit umum daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin hal ini ditandai dengan belum ada data base karir perawat, koordinasi belum terjalin baik dalam pengelolaan karir perawat serta belum ada SOP jalur karir perawat. Pengelolaan karir belum berjalan dengan baik dimana belum ada niat pimpinan meregistrasi perawat, belum ada keinginan pimpinan untuk mewujudkan professional perawat serta tidak adanya evaluasi secara berkesinambungan terhadap karir perawat. Kesimpulan: komitmen pimpinan terhadap karir perawat masih rendah. Pengelolaan karir belum berjalan sesuai dengan harapan karena hal-hal yang belum dilakukan oleh manajemen rumah sakit. Pimpinan rumah sakit perlu menata pengelolaan karir dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi karir yang berkelanjutan.

Background: Nurse career is reward given to nursing staff for the service to the hospital. The management of nurse career begins from planning for placement according to their expertise. Career management at clinical department is a fundamental element in a health service organization. A nursing manager has to support nurse self-development in order to get career and job satisfaction. Objective: To identify the management of nurse career at Dr.. Zainoel Abidin Hospital Banda Aceh. Method: The study was descriptive qualitative. The main informen of the study were nurses, either junior, senior of bachelor of nursing. Data were obtained through focus group discussion. Other informen were the management group. Data were obtained through indepth interview. Result: In general the commitment of the management of dr.. Zainoel Abidin to nurse career was not yet as expected. This was indicated from the fact that there was no database of nurse career, there was no coordination in the management of nurse career and there was no standard operating procedure for the path of nurse career. Career management did not run well; there was no intention of the management to register nurses, there was no commitment of the management to actualize professional nurses and there was no continuous evaluation of nurse career. Conclusion: Commitment of the management to nurse career was still relatively low. Career management did not run as expected because of some issues that had not been done by the hospital. The directors of the hospital should manage career development in planning implementation and evaluation of career continuously.
