Latar Belakang : Berdasarkan KepMenKes No.377/Menkes/SK/III/2007 tentang Standar profesi perekam medis dan informasi kesehatan. Standar profesi ini disusun sebagai pedoman bagi tenaga perekam medis dalam meningkatkan sumber daya manusia dalam memberi pelayanan kesehatan di Indonesia. Perekam medis merupakan profesi yang memfokuskan kegiatannya pada data pelayanan kesehatan dan pengelolaan sumber informasi pelayanan kesehatan dengan menjabarkan sifat alami data, struktur dan menterjemahkannya ke berbagai bentuk informasi demi kemajuan kesehatan dan pelayanan kesehatan perorangan, pasien dan masyarakat Maka penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian terhadap tenaga perekam medis, dengan masalah Hubunga n persepsi tenaga Perekam Medis tentang standar kompetensi Perekam Medis terhadap pelaksanaannya dalam bentuk klasifikasi kode penyakit, manajemen informasi kesehatan,aspek hukum dan etika profesi,menjaga mutu rekam medis,statistik terhadap pelaksanaannya di Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat dr. M Djamil Padang Propinsi Sumatera Barat. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi tenaga perekam medis tentang standar kompentensi perekam medis dengan pelaksanaannya di Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat dr.M.Djamil Padang Propinsi Sumatera Barat. Metode : Penelitian dengan judul Hubungan Persepsi Tenaga Perekam Medis tentang Standar kompetensi perkam medis dengan pelaksanaannya di Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat dr.M.Djamil Padang Propinsi Sumatera Barattahun 2008, Jenis penelitiannya adalah , penelitian Obsevational sebab akibat dengan desain penelitian crrosectional, dimana variabel independen dan variabel dependen diamati secara serentak pada saat yang bersamaan Hasil : Besarnya koefisien korelasi tata jenjang variabel klasifikasi dan kode penyakit dengan penerapan standar yang searah dalam artian jika masing-masing variabel statistik semakin baik maka variabel penerapan standar kompetensi perekam medis semakin baik juga. kompetensi perekam medis 0,602, persepsi tentang klasifikasi dan kode penyakit dengan penerapan standar kompetensi perekam medis menunjukan 0,430 , manajemen rekam medis dan informasi kesehatan dengan penerapan standar kompetensi perekam medis 0,549 , aspek hukum dan etika profesi dengan penerapan standar kompetensi perekam medis menunjukan 0,516 dan statistik rekam medis dengan penerapan standar kompetensi perekam medis menunjukan 0,442 Kesimpulan : Hubungan kelima Variabel persepsi menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikansi tentang klasifikasi dan kode penyakit dengan penerapan standar kompetensi perekam medis memiliki probabilitas 0,025 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Hubungan variabel persepsi tentang manajemen rekam medis dan informasi kesehatan dengan penerapan standar kompetensi perekam medis memiliki probabilitas 0,03 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Hubungan variabel persepsi tentang aspek hukum dan etika profesi dengan penerapan standar kompetensi perekam medis memiliki probabilitas 0,006 lebih kecil dari 0,05 Hubungan variabel persepsi tentang menjaga mutu rekam medis dengan penerapan standar kompetensi perekam medis memiliki probabilitas 0,023 lebih kecil dari 0,01 Hubungan variabel persepsi tentang statistik rekam medis dengan penerapan standar kompetensi perekam medis memiliki probabilitas 0,028 lebih kecil dari 0,05 dalam artian Ho ditolak yang menunjukan ada hubungan yang signifikansi.

Background: It is refer to KepMenKes No.377/Menkes/SK/III/2007 about Professional Standard for medical record and health information officer. This Standard is formulated as a guideline for medical record officer in order to improve human resource in giving their health services in Indonesia. Medical record officer is a profession which focused on health service data and management of this information by expounding natural characteristic of data, its structure, then translate it into many forms of information for health improvement and health service for individual, patient, and public. Based on this consideration, the author is interested to study medical record officer, with perception correlation from medical record officer on standard competence of medical record officer towards its implementation in form of disease code classification, health information management, legal aspect and professional ethic, maintaining quality of medical record and statistic implementation in dr. M Djamil Central Public Hospital, Padang of West Sumatera Province. Objectives : This study is purposed to investigate perception correlation from medical record officer on standard competence of medical record officer with its implementation in dr. M Djamil Central Public Hospital, Padang of West Sumatera Province. Method: This study entitled Perception Correlation of Medical Record Officer on standard competence of medical record officer with its implementation in dr. M Djamil Central Public Hospital, Padang of West Sumatera Province at 2008 is an observational study of causal relationship with crosssectional design; where both independent and dependent variables are simultaneously observed all at once. Results: Coefficient of order span correlation for classification variable and disease code with parallel standard implementation; it means the better each statistic variable, the better implementation of standard competence variable from medical record officer. Medical record competence is 0.602, perception on disease code and classification with standard competence implementation from medical record officer is 0.430, whereas medical record and health information management with standard competence implementation from medical record officer is 0.549, legal aspect and professional ethic with standard competence implementation from medical record officer is 0.516 and medical record statistic with standard competence implementation from medical record officer is 0.442. Conclusion: Correlation of these five perception variables suggested that there is significant correlation on disease code and classification with standard competence implementation from medical record officer which has probability of 0.025 lower than 0.05. Correlation of perception variable towards medical record and health information management with standard competence implementation from medical record officer which has probability of 0.03 lower than 0.05. Correlation of perception variable about legal aspect and professional ethic with standard competence implementation from medical record officer which has probability of 0.006 lower than 0.05. Correlation of perception variable towards maintaining medical record quality with standard competence implementation from medical record officer which has probability of 0.23 lower than 0.01. Correlation of perception variable about medical record statistic with standard competence implementation from medical record officer which has probability of 0.028 lower than 0.05; it means that Ho is rejected, showing a significant correlation.
