Perilaku membolos mempengaruhi ketahanan pribadi :: Studi kasus di 3 SLTA Negeri Magelang

Fenomena membolos dapat dikategorikan sebagai pelanggaran disiplin tidak hadir tanpa keterangan yang sah yang dapat mengakibatkan menurunnya produktivitas kerja dan merupakan bagian dari fenomena besar. Perilaku membolos sebenarnya bukan merupakan hal yang baru lagi bagi banyak pelajar/siswa, setidaknya mereka yang pernah mengenyam pendidikan, perilaku membolos itu sendiri telah ada sejak dulu. Resiko bagi mereka yang membolos sekolah adalah ketinggalan pelajaran, karena saat membolos mereka tidak menerima pelajaran seperti yang semestinya. Selain itu bagi siswa yang suka membolos dapat terlibat dengan hal-hal yang cenderung merugikan, mulai dari pencandu narkotika, pengagum freesex dan mengidolakan tindak kekerasan atau dengan istilah lain tawuran. Sasaran tempat membolos biasanya tidak jauh-jauh dari lingkungan sekolah, seperti di kantin sekolah, ruang BP, perpustakaan, bahkan sampai masjid pun hingga keluar area sekolah seperti tempat perbelajaan super market, mall. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi mengapa siswa/pelajar membolos sekolah. Pengaruh lingkungan global dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang semakin pesat, menjadikan siswa dengan mudah dapat mengakses berbagai informasi yang tersedia, baik melalui media cetak maupun elektronik dengan segala konsekuensinya baik positif maupun negatif. Tidak jarang pengaruh negatif muncul lebih kuat dan lebih lama dibandingkan dengan pengaruh pendidikan yang ditanamkan oleh orang tua dan sekolah akibat kemampuan media itu untuk menyajikan acara semenarik mungkin, yang kadang-kadang melupakan aspek edukatifnya demi memperoleh pemirsa sebanyak-banyaknya. Sehingga suka atau tidak suka perubahan akan dihadapi oleh siswa. Kemudian faktor-faktor lain yang berpengaruh terhadap kepribadian siswa/pelajar sehingga siswa/pelajar membolos seperti pengaruh lingkungan sosial/komunitas, pengaruh lingkungan keluarga, pengaruh lingkungan pendidikan antara lain pengaruh lingkungan sekolah, pengaruh guru sekolah dan pengaruh kurikulum. Bagi siswa/pelajar yang tidak tahan terhadap pola pengajaran yang telah ditentukan kemudian mencari pelarian; salah satunya dengan cara membolos, walaupun secara tak langsung sebenarnya bukan merupakan jawaban yang baik. Selanjutnya tidak kalah pentingnya yang dapat mempengaruhi siskap siswa/pelajar adalah kawan sepermainan (peer group) Siswa/pelajar yang gemar membolos akan berimplikasi terhadap kepribadian siswa/pelajar dalam hal berkurangnya rasa tanggung jawab individu, sikap anti sosial dan pembangkangan terhadap kontrol sosial. Strategi pemecahan masalah membolos di kalangan siswa melalui penciptaan lingkungan sekolah yang efektif, perbaikan kurikulum, dan dukungan sistem sosial dalam keluarga dan komunitas. Kesimpulan, membolos yang dilakukan oleh siswa/pelajar apabila tidak segera ditanggulangi akan berpengaruh terhadap kepribadian siswa/pelajar itu sendiri. Dalam skala besar apabila membolos sudah membudaya bagi kehidupan manusia, akan berimplikasi pada menurunnya kinerja sumber daya manusia.

The play truant phenomena could be categorized as violation against discipline, absent without permission, which cause to decrease the working productivity and become part of the big phenomena. The playing truant behavior actually is not a new thing for the students, at least they who have already schooled; the play truant behavior exists for long time ago. The risk for those who plays truant is to be left behind the lesson because at the time that their absent they will not get the lesson as they should have been. For the students who joy to play truant could be involved with the things that tend to be disadvantage, start from addicted to narcotics, free sex lover and idolize the violation or with other term is the gang fight. The target place for playing truant is not far enough from the school surrounding such as school cafeteria, counseling room, and library even until mosque outside the schoolyard as the shopping centre, the super market, the mall etc. Many influence factors why the student plays truant from school. The influence of global environment with the science and technology growing fast, make the student easily could access much available information, whether through newspaper or electronic with all consequent could be positive or negative. It is quite often that negative influence will stronger and long than the influence on the education which cultivated by the parent and the school as the consequence of the media ability to present the program attractively, sometimes forget the educative aspect for the sake of obtaining the abundant audience. Thus, like it or not the change will be faced by the student. Then, other factors that influence the students attitude so that the student become absent without leaving such as the influence of social or community condition, the influence family condition, the influence of education environment like the influence of school condition, the influence of school teacher, and the influence of curriculum. For the student who cannot resist to the lesson pattern that has determined then seek the escape: one of that is playing truant, even though indirectly the truth is not a good answer. Then, the less important thing, which could influence the student, is the peer group. The student who joys to play truant will give the implication toward his attitude on the less of sense of individual responsibility, anti social manner and rebel against social control. The strategy to solve the problem of playing truant in the student circle through making the effective school environment, curriculum improvement, and social system support in the family and community. The conclusion, play truant which is conducted by the student if not immediately prevented will influence toward the students’ attitude themselves. On the big scale if playing truant becomes culture to human life that will implicate to decrease working activity of human resource.
