Campuran asphaltic concrete wearing course dengan ukuran butiran agregat maksimum 3/4 inch menggunakan aspal Pertamina dan aspal Esso berdasarkan spesifikasi FAA dan ASTM

Oleh sebab itu, perlu diupayakan perkerasan berkualitas yang dipengaruhi oleh agregat, aspal dan bahan pengisinya. Penelitian terhadap campuran asphaltic concrete wearing course dengan ukuran butiran agregat maksimum ¾ inchi menggunakan aspal Pertamina AC 60/70 dan aspal Esso AC 60/70 berdasarkan spesifikasi FAA dan ASTM. Benda uji dibuat berdasarkan kadar aspal optimum menggunakan metode Marshall, kemudian dilakukan perendaman dalam waterbath immersion pada suhu 60 ºC selama 0,5 jam dengan variasi : aspal Pertamina gradasi FAA, aspal Pertamina gradasi ASTM, aspal Esso gradasi FAA dan aspal Esso gradasi ASTM. Uji Marshall untuk mencari durabilitas dilakukan dengan perendaman terhadap benda uji selama 24 jam dan 48 jam. Pengujian ITS dilakukan dengan variasi perendaman selama 0,5 jam dan 24 jam. Hasil pengujian Marshall menunjukkan bahwa nilai KAO aspal Pertamina gradasi FAA dan ASTM adalah 6,37% dan 6,06%, aspal Esso gradasi FAA dan ASTM adalah 6,32% dan 5,9%. Nilai IKS perendaman 24 jam pada campuran aspal Esso dan Pertamina gradasi FAA dan ASTM sebesar 94,95%; 93,5% dan 92,39%; 90,07 %, pada perendaman 48 jam campuran aspal Esso dan Pertamina gradasi FAA dan ASTM sebesar 90,86%; 89,68% dan 88,85%; 87,79%. Penurunan stabilitas pada perendaman 24 jam campuran aspal Pertamina dan Esso gradasi FAA dan ASTM sebesar 1,87 kg; 2,95 kg dan 1,46 kg; 2,27 kg, untuk perendaman 48 jam campuran aspal Pertamina dan Esso gradasi FAA dan ASTM sebesar 2,99 kg; 3,62 kg dan 2,65 kg; 3,33 kg. Nilai ITS perendaman standard campuran aspal Pertamina dan Esso gradasi FAA dan ASTM sebesar 727 kPa; 672 kPa dan 769 kPa; 706 kPa, untuk perendaman 24 jam campuran aspal Pertamina dan Esso gradasi FAA dan ASTM sebesar 727 kPa; 672 kPa dan 750 kPa; 672 kPa. Nilai TSR pada campuran aspal Pertamina dan Esso gradasi FAA dan ASTM sebesar 95,33%; 93,41% dan 97,49%; 95,10%.
Layered damage of asphalt concrete pavement was often caused by the traffic load, climate condition and more inappropriate material kind. Therefore, must be striven for pavement had a quality that was affected by the aggregate, asphalt and filler. The research into the asphaltic concrete wearing course mixture with the maximum size aggregate ¾ inchi used Pertamina AC 60/70 and Esso AC 60/70 was based on the FAA and ASTM specification. The specimen was made be based on the optimum asphalt content used the Marshall method, afterwards was carried out by soaking in 60 ºC waterbath immersion for 0.5 hours with variation of specimen : Pertamina with FAA gradations, Pertamina with ASTM gradations, Esso with FAA gradations and Esso with ASTM gradations. The Marshall test to find out durability was carried out by soaking specimen in 60 ºC waterbath for 24 hours and 48 hours. The indirect tensile strength testing was carried out by soaking specimen in 60 ºC waterbath for 0.5 hours and 24 hours. Finally, results of the Marshall testing showed that the optimum asphalt content value for Pertamina with FAA and ASTM gradations were 6.37% and 6.06%, Esso with FAA and ASTM gradations were 6.32% and 5.9%. Retained strength value in the 24 hours soaking for Esso and Pertamina mixture with FAA and ASTM gradations were 94.95%; 93.5% and 92.39%; 90.07%, while in the 48 hours soaking for Esso and Pertamina mixture with FAA and ASTM gradations were 90.86%; 89.68% and 88.85%; 87.79%. Stability derivation value in the 24 hours soaking for Pertamina and Esso mixture with FAA and ASTM gradations were 1,87 kg; 2,95 kg and 1,46 kg; 2,27 kg, while in the 48 hours soaking for Pertamina and Esso mixture with FAA gradations and ASTM were 2,99 kg; 3,62 kg and 2,65 kg; 3,33 kg. Indirect tensile strength value in standard soaking for Pertamina and Esso mixture with FAA and ASTM gradations were 727 kPa; 672 kPa and 769 kPa; 706 kPa, while in the 24 hours soaking for Pertamina and Esso mixture with FAA and ASTM gradations were 727 kPa; 672 kPa and 750 kPa; 672 kPa. Tensile strength ratio value for Pertamina and Esso mixture with FAA and ASTM gradations were 95,33%; 93,41% dan 97,49%; 95,10%.
