Daur ulang material eks cold milling sebagai bahan pelapisan AC-BC (binder course)

Pelapisan beton aspal campuran panas secara terus menerus akan membentuk lapisan dengan ketebalan yang semakin tinggi sehingga dapat mengganggu drainase, ketinggian bahu dan kerb jalan. Penggunaan teknik daur ulang sangat potensial untuk diterapkan pada pemeliharaan jalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kombinasi material eks cold milling dengan bahan tambah agregat kasar dan aspal Pertamina Pen 60/70 untuk digunakan pada campuran AC-Binder Course dengan pengujian Marshall dan Durabilitas Penelitian ini menggunakan metode hot mix recycling untuk campuran AC-Binder Course. Agregat eks cold milling masih mempunyai kandungan kadar aspal sebesar 5.4%. Pembuatan benda uji dilakukan dengan cara variasi kombinasi campuran antara material agregat eks cold milling dan bahan tambah agregat kasar dengan variasi kombinasi 100%:0%, 80%:20% dan 75%:25% serta dilakukan voids analysis untuk diketahui variasi kombinasi yang memenuhi persyaratan. Dari campuran yang terpilih didesain penambahan kadar aspal optimum tambahan. Setelah mendapatkan kadar aspal optimum tambahan dilakukan pengujian Marshall dan Durabilitas campuran terhadap pengaruh air dengan variasi perendaman 24 jam, 48 jam, 72 jam, 168 jam dan 336 jam Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi campuran terpilih yaitu 75% agregat eks cold milling dan 25% agregat tambah kasar didapatkan kadar aspal optimum tambahan 0.15% (total kadar aspal 5,51% dari total campuran). Hasil pengujian Marshall dan Durabilitas dengan variasi perendaman 24 jam, 48 jam, 72 jam, 168 jam dan 336 jam diperoleh nilai stabilitas berturut-turut 1980 Kg, 1859 Kg, 1775 Kg, 1771 Kg, 1644 Kg, 1576 Kg. Nilai indek kekuatan sisa pada semua variasi perendaman masih diatas 75%. Campuran recycling ACBinder Course dengan variasi agregat eks cold milling 75%, agregat tambah 25% dan kadar aspal optimum tambahan 0,15% merupakan komposisi yang optimum sebagai bahan susun perkerasan jalan dan mempunyai durabilitas yang tinggi

Continually overlaying of hot asphalt concrete mixture will form layer with excessive thickness that can disturb drainage, elevation of shoulder and kerb. Recycle technology is potentially applicable for road maintenance. This research objective is to recognize the influence of combining the ex cold milling aggregate with additional new course aggregate and Pertamina asphalt pen 60/70 to be used for AC-Binder Course mixture and for Marshall test and performance durability. Hot mix recycling method for AC-Binder Course mix is applied in this research. However, there is still 5.4% asphalt content retained in the ex-cold milling aggregate. Specimens were made in various combination of ex-cold milling aggregate with 5.4% asphalt content and 0.3% additional coarse aggregate. The combinations were 100%:0%, 80%: 20% and 75%: 25%. Voids analysis was carried out to identify the appropriate combination based on the requirement. The optimum additional asphalt content of the selected mixture was then designed. Then, Marshall and durability tests for the selected mixture was taken in order to identify the influence of present water using immersion variations of 24, 48, 72, 168, 336 hours. Results of this research showed that combining 75% ex-cold milling aggregate with 25% additional coarse aggregate achieved the optimum at 0.15% addition asphalt content (Asphalt content total was 5.51% of the total mixture). Results of Marshall and durability tests with immersion variations of 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 168 hours and 336 hours showed stability values of 1980 kg, 1859 kg, 1775 kg, 1771 kg, 1644 kg, 1576 kg, respectively. Remaining strength index values for all the immersion variations were above 75%. The Recycling AC-Binder Course mixture with 75% ex-cold milling aggregate, 25% additional aggregate and 0.15 additional optimum asphalt content is the optimum composition for composing road pavement material with high durability.
