Daur ulang material eks cold milling sebagai bahan pelapisan ulang AC wearing course

Pemeliharaan berkala dengan proses pelaksanaannya menggunakan cold milling machine sebagai alat pengupasan permukaan jalan eksisting yang kurang rata merupakan salah satu metode penanganan jalan, akan tetapi hasil kupasan lapis permukaan beraspal tersebut tidak dimanfaatkan kembali. Beberapa keuntungan dari penerapan teknologi alternatif recycling tersebut diantaranya penghematan material, mempertahankan elevasi permukaan aspal yang sudah ada, mengurangi kerusakan lingkungan, dapat melaksanakan perbaikan secara spot–spot saja, tidak menambah beban mati pada konstruksi jalan khususnya pada plat lantai jembatan. Penelitian ini berorientasi pada metode daur ulang dengan menggunakan central plant recycling dan bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi agregat dalam campuran antara material eks cold milling dikombinasikan dengan material baru menggunakan bahan tambah aspal Pertamina Pen 60/70 dan agregat kasar baru menjadi campuran AC Wearing Course dengan pengujian Marshall dan Durabilitas. hanya membahas penelitian skala laboratorium campuran AC Wearing Course dengan rujukan Spesifikasi Bina Marga tahun 2007. Benda uji dibuat dengan memvariasikan kombinasi campuran material eks cold milling dan material baru sebanyak 57 buah dengan variasi prosentase kombinasi 100%/0%, 80%/20% dan 75%/25%. Kemudian dilakukan penelitian lanjutan dengan memfokuskan pada campuran kombinasi 75%/25% yang dianggap memenuhi spesifikasi yang disyaratkan. Variasi penambahan kadar aspal untuk masing-masing campuran +0%, +0,3%, +0,6%, +0.9% dan +1,2%, sehingga mendapatkan kadar aspal optimum dan setelah itu dilakukan pengujian Marshall dan Durabilitas dengan variasi perendaman 1 hari, 2 hari, 4 hari, 7 hari dan 14 hari. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa dalam kondisi kadar aspal optimum pada kombinasi campuran 75%/25% telah memperoleh nilai density, void analysis, stability, flow dan Marshall quotient serta procentage refusal density secara kualitatif telah memenuhi spesifikasi dan material eks cold milling dapat digunakan kembali sebagai bahan pelapis ulang AC Wearing Course dengan methode pencampuran panas. Hasil nilai penelitian yang disyaratkan dalam spesifikasi Bina Marga tahun 2007 secara kuantitatif telah ditulis dalam penelitian ini.

Periodic maintenance using cold milling machine in the construction process as the peeler for unwell existing asphalt pavement surface is one road construction method, but the peel result can not reused. Several benefits that can be obitained from the alternative adjustment of technology recycle are low cost materials, maintenance the asphalts surface elevation existing, reducing environmental damage, can perform spots road maintenance only and not increase death load in road construction especially in bridge deck. This research gets orientation in recycling method using of central plant recycling and aims to study aggregate combination influence in mixing the ex cold milling material and new materials using addition of Pertamina asphalt Pen 60/70 and new course aggregate become Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course (AC-WC) with Marshall test and performance durability. This research uses pure experimental research method and only discusses in laboratory scale research of Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course with reference Bina Marga Specification 2007. Specimens was manufactured by varying the mixing of ex cold milling material and new material as many as 57 with variation of percentage aggregate combination of 100%/0% ; 80%/20% and 75%/25%. Futher more, the research was focused on percentage aggregate combination of 75%/25% that full filled the specification. Due to the aging of the milled materials, for designing of the recycling, it should be added few amount of asphalt. To find out the optimum of adding asphalt content, variation of added asphalt content more than applied to the milled materials variation were set as to +0%, +0,3%, +0,6%, +0,9% and +1,2% is made to reach optimum asphalt content. The specimens were subsequently tested with Marshall test and performance durability behavior by immersing at temperature 60°C after 14 days. From the result, of research indicated that mixing combination of 75%/25% in condition of optimum asphalt content reached density, void analysis, stability, flow, Marshall quotient and percentage refusal density were 2,41 gr/cm3, 1591 Kg, 3,7 mm, 434 Kg/mm and 3,57%. Futher more, the performance durability after 14 days values of them were 76, 45% > 75%, it can be concluded that ex cold milling material can be reused as material mixing layering for asphalt pavement surface (AC Wearing Course) with hot mixing method.
