Pengaruh pemicu stres peran dukungan sosial-sebagai variabel independen dan variabel pemoderasian-terhadap kesejahteraan pasangan suami-istri dual-carrer :: Analisis pembandingan gender

Penelitian ini menguji hubungan antara pemicu stres peran pekerjaan dan pemicu stres peran keluarga, konflik pekerjaan-keluarga, dukungan sosial dan indikator kesejahteraan. Analisis dilakukan secara terpisah terhadap pria dan wanita, untuk mengetahui perbedaan gender dalam pola hubungan antar variabel penelitian. Data diperoleh dari 122 karyawan bank dan pasangannya, yang masingmasing mempunyai karir tersendiri, dan berdomisili di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa, hubungan additive within-- domain dan between-domain (spillover) pemicu stres dan kesejahteraan lebih terdukung dalam penelitian ini, daripada interactive effect. Hubungan intradomain dukungan sosial dengan kesejahteraan juga ditemukan dalam penelitian ini. Dukungan dari lingkungan pekerjaan meningkatkan kepuasan kerja, sedangkan dukungan pasangan meningkatkan kepuasan keluarga. Hasil penelitian tidak menemukan crossover effect pemicu stres dan kesejahteraan antar pasangan. Peran gender tradisional ditemukan dalam hubungan antara pemicu stres peran dan kesejahteraan, tetapi tidak terbukti mempengaruhi dukungan sosial dan kesejahteraan.

The study examined relationship among work and family role stressors, work-family conflict, social support, and indicators of well-being. Analyses were conducted separately for men and women to assessing gender differences in the patterns of relationship between the research variabels. Data was gathered from 122 banking employees and their spouses, who were involved in dual-career relationship, and lived in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Results showed that within-domain (additive) and cross-domain (spillover) relationship between role stressors and well-being are more stronger than interactive effect relationship. Within-domain relationship between social support and well-being also found in this analysis. Work support was associated with increased job satisfaction, while spouse support was associated with increased family satisfaction. The result was not found the crossover effect between couple. Traditional gender role was found in the relationship between role stressors and well-being relationship, but not in social support and wellbeing relationship.
