Estimasi kandungan dan harga karbon pada tegakan hutan produksi di Kalimantan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan karbon pada Hutan Produksi yang ada di Kalimantan dan juga harga karbon berdasarkan nilai shadow price tegkan, bila hutan tersebut dijadikan sebagai penghasil kayu untuk tujuan industri. Kalimantan di pilih sebagai lokasi penelitian karena hutan di Kalimantan sudah dikelola cukup lama sehingga data-data pendukung sudah banyak tersedia. Selain itu, kondisi hutan di Kalimantan sudah “relatif” rusak, sehingga pemanfaatan hutan tanpa merusak kondisi hutan tersebut merupakan alternatif yang cukup masuk akal, yaitu dengan jalan menyewakan sebagai penyimpan karbon (carbon stock). Kandungan karbon tegakan didekati dengan menggabungkan data terestris dan data hasil pengolahan penginderaan jauh (remote sensing), sedangkan nilai shadow price tegakan di estimasi berdasarkan potensial pendapatan yang hilang dari sektor pemerintah, industri HPH, industri pengolahan kayu dan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa; (a) kandungan karbon tegakan hutan produksi di kalimantan adalah 119, 43 ton/ha, (b) nilai shadow price tegakan adalah Rp52.553.830,56/ha/th dan (c) harga karbon per ton atau harga sewa penyimpanan karbon per ton per tahun sebesar adalah US $ 40.

This research is aimed to know the contents of carbon on the production forest in Kalimantan and also the price of carbon based on the standing stock shadow price value if the forest is made as a wood producer for the sake of industry. Kalimantan is chosen as the location for the research because the forest in Kalimantan has already been managed long enough so that the supporting data are available. Besides, the condition of the forest in Kalimantan is “relatively” damaged, therefore the use of the forest without damaging it is a make sense alternative, that is through the renting it as the means of carbon stock. The carbon content of standing stock is approached by combining terestis data with remote sensing data result, while the value of standing stock shadow price is estimated based on the potential of the income loss from the governmental sector, forest using industry, wood processing industry and society. Surveys show that; (a) the contents of standing stock carbon of production forest in Kalimantan is 119,43 ton/ha, (b) the standing stock shadow price value is Rp52.553.830,56/ha/th and (c) the price of one ton carbon or the rent price of one ton carbon stock in a year is US $ 40.
