Pengaruh computer anxiety terhadap keahlian guru dalam menggunakan komputer :: Studi pada guru sekolah menengah atas kota Magelang

Kegiatan belajar mengajar satuan pendidikan diselenggarakan secara interaktif, inspiratif, menyenangkan, menantang motivasi peserta didik untuk berpartisipasi aktif. Penerapan Tehnologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) di sekolah, saat ini sudah merupakan keharusan. Penggunaan komputer dalam mengolah data – data menjadi informasi adalah sangat diperlukan untuk organisasi pemerintah yang bergerak dibidang pendidikan. Kendala penerapan TIK disekolah diantaranya adalah sumber daya manusia yaitu guru. Guru belum memaksimalkan penggunaan TIK untuk kepentingan pembelajaran. Manfaat yang dapat dirasakan dengan adanya TIK apabila guru mampu mengoperasikan komputer dan karena adanya tuntutan dari sekolah. Setiap guru yang mengalami ketakutan terhadap komputer ( computer anxiety ) akan merasakan manfaat komputer lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan guru yang tidak mengalami ketakutan komputer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bukti bahwa faktor Computer anxiety mempunyai pengaruh negatif terhadap keahlian guru sekolah menengah atas kota Magelang dalam menggunakan komputer. Penelitian ini juga digunakan untuk membandingkan tingkat computer anxiety dan keahlian komputer antara guru sekolah mengah atas negeri dengan guru sekolah menengah atas swasta. Metode pengumpulan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sampling nonprobabilitas dalam bentuk purposive sampling (bertujuan). Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil dari analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara computer anxiety terhadap keahlian guru sekolah menengah atas dalam menggunakan komputer. Penelitian juga mengidikasikan bahwa rata – rata guru sekolah menengah atas negeri memiliki tingkat computer anxiety lebih tinggi dibanding dengan rata – rata guru sekolah menengah atas swasta. Perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa rata – rata guru sekolah menengah atas negeri memiliki tingkat keahlian komputer lebih rendah dibanding dengan rata – rata guru sekolah menengah atas swasta.

The application of communication and Information Technology at school now is really a must. The use of computer in data processing to be an Information is extremely needed by the government institution that runs in on education field. One of the many handicaps of adjusting the communication and information. Technology an school is on the human resource, that is “ teacher “. Teacher have not yet maximized the utility of Communication and Information Technology in their necessity of Teaching and learning. The benefit felt by the existence of the Communication and Information technology happened when Teacher are able to operate Computer in line with the demand of the school. Each teacher who is frightened to Computer ( Computer anxiety ) Will have less benefit than those who do not suffer from the Computer phobia. This research is oriented to have the proof that computer anxiety has a negative effect to the competence of high school teachers in Magelang municipality to use computer. The research is also used to compare the level of the computer anxiety and the competence or the computer expertise between the state high school teachers and the private ones. The method of gathering samples in this research is a non probability sampling. Hypotheses test is held by the simple regression analyses. The result of these data analyses shows that there is a significant impact or influence between the computer anxiety and the high school teacher’s competence in using computers. This research also indicates that the average state high school teachers have higher. The computer anxiety level higher than that of private high school teachers. Calculations show that the average state high school teachers have lower competence than the average private high school teachers.
