Pengelolaan limbah cair PT. Pertamina (Persero) UP IV Cilacap merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dalam upaya penyehatan lingkungan untuk melindungi masyarakat dari bahaya pencemaran lingkungan. Oleh karena itu kegiatan pengelolaan limbah perlu dilakukan di unit pengolahan limbah cair Kilang Paraxylene Pertamina UP IV Cilacap. Penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus eksploratif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Pertamina UP. IV Cilacap yang terletak di desa Lomanis, kecamatan Cilacap Tengah, kabupaten Cilacap, Jawa Tengah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan indepth interview (wawancara mendalam). Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan limbah cair di Pertamina UP IV Cilacap berjalan cukup baik dengan dicapainya baku mutu limbah cair berdasarkan parameter suhu, BOD, COD, pH dan kadar minyak sesuai dengan Kepmen. Guna mempertahankan sistem pengelolaan perlu ditingkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia yang menangani RBC.

The management of liquid waste of PT. Pertamina (the Share) UP IV Cilacap is a part that is very important towards environmental sanitation to protect the community from the pollution danger of the environment. Because of that the activity of the waste management must be carried out in the processing unit of the liquid waste of the Refinery of Paraxylene Pertamina UP IV Cilacap. The research was carried out qualitatively with the case study plan eksploratif. The research location is located in the Lomanis village, the subdistrict middle Cilacap, the Cilacap regency, Central Java. The data collection was carried out by means of observation and indepth interview. Results of the research showed that the liquid waste management of Pertamina UP IV Cilacap were well done according to reached quality standard of the liquid waste was based on the temperature parameter, BOD, COD, the pH and oil contain in accordance to with Kepmen. In order to maintains the management system, the quality of human resources that handled RBC must be increased.
