Pertumbuhan ekonomi dan ketimpangan pendapat regional di Provinsi Bengkulu, 2000-2006

Penelitian ini adalah tentang ketimpangan pendapatan di Provinsi Bengkulu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis (1) ketimpangan pendapatan antarkabupaten di Provinsi Bengkulu; (2) menguji berlakunya hipotesis Kuznet di Provinsi Bengkulu. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder runtun waktu (2000-2006) yang diperoleh dari Kantor Pusat Statistik Provinsi Bengkulu. Alat analisis yang digunakan meliputi : Analisis Indeks Williamson, indeks entropi Theil, dan Korelasi Pearson. Hasil kesimpulan dari analisis (1) pada periode pengamatan 2000-2006 di Provinsi Bengkulu terjadi kecenderungan peningkatan ketimpangan dengan indeks Williamson; (2) terjadi juga kecenderungan peningkatan ketimpangan di Provinsi Bengkulu melalui indeks Entropi Theil. Kesimpulan lainnya adalah (1) terjadi korelasi yang positif signifikan antara pendapatan per kapita Provinsi Bengkulu dengan Indeks Entropi Theil dan Indeks Williamson di Provinsi Bengkulu; (2) hipotesis Kuznet’s ternyata terbukti berlaku di Provinsi Bengkulu.

This research aims to analyze the disparity among regencies in Bengkulu province. The objective of this research are (1) to understand disparity among of regencies in Bengkulu province; (2) to test the existing of Kuznet’s hypothesis in Bengkulu province The data is using of secondary data about gross regional domestic product (GRDP) per capita and number of population among of regencies in Bengkulu province. The period of the data was six years from 2000 to 2006. The tools of analysis that being used are Williamson index, entropy Theil index, and Pearson correlation. The result of this analysis: (1) at period of observation disparity in Bengkulu province is increase inclination by Williamson index; (2) disparity in Bengkulu province is increase inclination too by Theil index or Theil entropy. The other result are (1) the exist positive correlation both between Williamson index and Theil indeks with income per capita in Bengkulu province; (2) Kuznet’s hypothesis is realized to exist in Bengkulu province.
