Pengaruh pemanfaatan teknologi informasi terhadap aspek kognitif mahasiswa berdasarkan Bloom's digital taxonomy

Perkembangan Teknologi Informasi telah memberikan sumbangsih yang besar terhadap perkembangan aspek kognitif seseorang. Hal ini juga terjadi di bidang pendidikan. Teknologi Informasi menjadi salah satu sumber bagi para mahasiswa untuk mendapatkan dan berbagi pengetahuan selain untuk bahan perkuliahan dalam usahanya menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan dosen untuk memperoleh nilai yang tinggi. Dalam mengoperasikan komputer untuk melakukan tugas-tugasnya, seorang mahasiswa tentunya harus mampu mengenal perangkat tersebut dengan baik, terutama perangkat-lunaknya. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh Pemanfaatan TI memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap aspek kognitif mahasiswa. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan menyebar kuesioner yang berisi item-item pertanyaan yang didasarkan pada analogi Churches terhadap taksonomi Bloom, dengan menggunakan 100 asisten dosen sebagai sampel penelitian. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode regresi untuk mengetahui tingkat signifikan hubungan antar tiap variabelnya dan korelasi kanonik untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemanfaatan TI dengan Aspek Kognitif. Hasil perhitungan dengan analisis Korelasi Kanonik menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi memiliki pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap aspek kognitif mahasiswa dengan nilai Wilk’s Lambda sebesar 0,423 dan nilai p = 0,000.

The rapid development of Information Technology is greatly affecting human’s cognitive aspects. Among others is in the educational sector. Information Technology has already become a tool for the students to acquire and share knowledge with others and also to obtain extra lecture materials to enrich those handed out by the lecturer. In order to operate the computer to do the tasks, each student must be able to recognize and appreciate the associated software properly. The purpose of this research is to find out the significance of the IT usage to energize the students cognitive aspects. This research used questionnaire based tool on Churches’s digital analogy of Bloom’s Taxonomy as the method to gather data, using 100 of lecturer’s assistants as sample. The data were analyzed using regression method in order to find the significance between the relation of each variable and canonical correlation as a measure of significance between IT usage and cognitive aspects. The results of the Canonical Correlation analysis show that the IT intensive usage has a significant effect towards the cognitive aspects of the students with Wilk’s Lambda = 0,423 and p = 0,000.
