Kajian hubungan antara pertumbuhan ekonomi dan ketimpangan antar kecamatan di Kabupaten Grobogan

Divergensi pertumbuhan ekonomi cenderung terjadi di awal pembangunan dimana disparitas regional menjadi lebih besar dan pembangunan terkonsentrasi di wilayah-wilayah tertentu. Kemudian pada tahap pembangunan mulai matang akan terjadi konvergensi pertumbuhan ekonomi dimana terjadi keseimbangan antar daerah dan disparitas berkurang dengan signifikan. Penelitian ini berusaha mengungkapkan tentang pola pertumbuhan ekonomi di Kabupaten Grobogan, apakah terjadi secara divergen atau konvergen dan dilanjutkan dengan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor pertumbuhan ekonomi yang terjadi pada saat pertumbuhan berpola divergen ataupun konvergen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deduktif kuantitatif dengan paradigma rasionalistik. Penelitian mendasarkan pada konstruksi teori untuk melandasi pemilihan variabel penelitian kemudian diuji dengan statistik memakai data sekunder yang relevan. Selanjutnya di interprestasikan dengan membandingkan antara temuan dengan kontruksi teori yang telah dibuat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pertumbuhan ekonomi Kabupaten Grobogan kurun waktu 1996-2005 mempunyai pola yang konvergen. Lebih detail pola Konvergen ini terjadi sangat dominan pada tahun penelitian 1996-1998, sedangkan setelah tahun 1998 sampai dengan tahun 2005 cenderung mulai berpola divergen. Selanjutnya dengan menggunakan regresi, pertama; diketahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi pola konvergen pada tahun 1996-1998 yaitu variabel Jumlah penduduk, tingkat pendidikan dan aksesibilitas transportasi, kedua; diketahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi pola divergen pada tahun 1999-2005 yaitu variabel Jumlah penduduk, tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja dan lembaga perekonomian.

At earlier stage of any development, an economic growth divergence tends to occur where regional disparity grows bigger and the development is concentrated in certain regions. As the economic development reaches the maturity stage, economic growth convergence will emerge and as a consequence there will be a significant regional equilibrium and disparity decrease. This thesis attempts to discover the economic growth pattern in Grobogan Regency, whether the development tends to be divergence or convergence . The study was followed by an identification on economic growth factors during the divergency and convergency at various stages. This research applies quantitative deductive method of analysis with rationalistic paradigm. It is based on the theoretical construction to choose the research variables which were tested by using related secondary statistical data. Afterwards, it si followed by a comparative interpretation between the findings and the theoretical construction. The result shows that there is a pattern of economic convergence in Grobogan Regency during the period 1996-2005, wich occur mostly in the period of 1996-1998. However, the pattern is likely turned to be divergence in the years after. Through regression approach, it has been discovered that first: the influencing factors on the convergence economic growth in the years of 1996-1998 are such variables as the population, the educational level, and the transportation accessability. Second: the influencing factors on the convergence economic growth in the years of 1999-2005 are the population, the manpower, and the economic institution. Keywords :
