Efek probiotik terhadap hambatan infeksi Eimeria sp

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek probiotik terhadap hambatan infeksi Eimeria sp pada ayam broiler. Ayam pedaging sebanyak 66 ekor DOC strain Arbor acress, jenis kelamin jantan dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok: I (kontrol, diberi pakan basal) dan II (pakan basal + probiotik) masing-masing 6 ekor, III (pakan basal + infeksi 1000 oosista), IV (pakan basal + probiotik + infeksi 1000 oosista), V (pakan basal + probiotik + infeksi 3000 oosista) masing-masing 18 ekor. Pemberian probiotik pada ayam dimulai umur 8 hari secara spray pada pakan dengan dosis 2 ml/250 ml air/1 kg pakan. Berat badan diobservasi untuk semua kelompok ayam pada umur 8, 15, 22, dan 39 hari. Pada umur 38 hari ayam diinfeksi secara per oral dengan 1000 oosista untuk kelompok III dan IV, dan 3000 oosista untuk kelompok V. Group I dan II dilakukan pada umur 39 hari. Jumlah oosista dari feses diperiksa pada hari ke 5, 6, 7 post infeksi. Data berat badan dianalisa dengan metode Split plot. Skor lesi usus dianalisa dengan metode Rank Test. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata kenaikan berat badan kelompok I dan II tidak berbeda nyata (P > 0,05). Periode I dan III, II dan III berbeda nyata (P < 0,05). Jumlah oosista kelompok III dan V, IV dan V berbeda nyata (P < 0,05), kelompok III dan IV tidak berbeda nyata (P > 0,05). Jumlah oosista pada hari ke 5, 6, 7 post infeksi berbeda nyata (P < 0,05). Skor lesi organ duodenum berbeda nyata (P < 0,05) pada kelompok I dan III, I dan IV. Skor lesi jejunum pada kelompok I dan V, ileum pada kelompok I dan IV, dan sekum pada kelompok I dan III, I dan V berbeda nyata (P < 0,05). Kesimpulan adalah probiotik dalam penelitian ini tidak efektif untuk berat badan. Probiotik tidak dapat menghambat infeksi Eimeria sp (E. acervulina, E. maxima, E. brunetti, E. tenella, E. necatrix, E. hagani, E. mitis, E. praecox, E. mivati ) pada duodenum, jejunum, ileum, dan sekum ayam.

This aim of research was to know the effect of probiotic to inhibit Eimeria sp infection in broiler chicken. Sixtysix DOC of broiler, strain Arbor acress, male sex were divided to become 5 group: I (given standard food) and II (standard food + probiotic) with 6 chicken of each group. Group III (given standard food + 1000 oocyst infection), IV (given standard food + probiotic + 1000 oocyst infection), V (standard food + probiotic + 3000 oocyst infection) with 18 chicken of each group. Probiotic was given at the age of 8 days by sprayed in food with the dose 2 ml / 250 ml water / 1 kg food. The body weight was observed for all group at the age of 8, 15, 22, and 39 days. At the age of 38 days, chicken was infected per oral by 1000 oocyst for group III and IV, and 3000 oocyst for group V. Group I and II were otopsied at the age of 39 days. The number of oocyst from feces was examined at 5, 6, 7 post infection. Data of body weight and number of oocyst were analyzed with Split plot method, lesion score from duodenum, jejunum, ileum, and coecum were analyzed with Rank Test method. The result showed that the body weight increase of group I and II was not significantly difference (P > 0,05), period I and III, II and III was significantly difference (P < 0,05). The number of oocyst between group III and V, IV and V was significantly difference (P < 0,05) and group III and IV was not significantly difference (P > 0,05). The number of oocyst at 5, 6, 7 day post infection was significantly difference (P < 0,05). Lesion score duodenum was significantly difference (P < 0,05) in group I and III, I and IV. Lesion score of jejunum in group I and V, for ileum in group I and IV, and coecum in group I and III, I and V were significantly difference (P < 0,05). The conclusion was probiotic did not effective for body weight. Probiotic could not inhibit Eimeria sp infection (E. acervulina, E. maxima, E. brunetti, E. tenella, E. necatrix, E. hagani, E. mitis, E. praecox, E. mivati ) in duodenum, jejunum, ileum and coecum of chicken.
