Pengembangan strategi human resources guna mendukung pencapaian strategi bisnis 2010 di PT Bank Niaga Tbk

2008 | Tesis | S2 Magister ManajemenPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif ekspolarif yang memaparkan bagaimana strategi bisnis dalam satu perusahaan tidak dapat berdiri sendiri tanpa adanya strategi pendukung (strategi fungsional) diantaranya strategi human resources. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi bahwa bank Niaga adalah bank yang tengah mengalami transformasi sejalan dengan perubahan kepemilikan oleh pihak asing – Khazanah Group sehingga menarik diketahui bagaimana bank Niaga melakukan transformasi ini melalui strategi human resourcesnya. Adapun penelitian menggunakan data sekunder berupa data strategi bisnis perusahaan, hasil survei terkait (survey engagement, climate dan leadership) serta hasil focus group discussion dan employee voices. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan analisa dan formulasi strategi human resources khususnya untuk menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan antara lain bagaimana kecenderungan bisnis eksternal dibandingkan visi misi dan strategi bisnis perusahaan, apa saja yang menjadi competitive advantage yang telah dan ingin dicapai oleh perusahaan. Dari competitive advantage ini kemudian dianalisis kapabilitas kultural (cultural capabilities) apa yang dibutuhkan organisasi agar dapat mencapai strategi bisnis perusahaan. Terakhir dari kapabilitas kultural tersebut dapat diturunkan strategi dan program human resources apa yang dibutuhkan untuk menciptakan atau meningkatkan kapabilitas cultural (cultural capabilities) perusahaan. Hasil dari analisis penelitian ini, penulis sampai pada kesimpulan bahwa guna mendukung transformasi maka kapabilitas kultural yang dibutuhkan perusahaan adalah agility dan adaptability, synergy dan collaboration, fast innovation dan execution, relationship sales orientation serta high performance accountability. Selanjutnya penulis memberikan rekomendasi bagaimana mengembangkan dan mempertahankan kapabilitas kultural ini melalui strategi dan program-program human resources 2008-2010
This is a descriptive explorative research which try to explain interelation between business strategy and other supporting strategy. This research shows how business strategy can not stand alone without support from functional strategy, such as research & development strategy, information system strategy, human resources strategy, etc. The research is more focus on human resource strategy as a supportive strategy in overall company’s business strategy. Background of this research is the transformation within Bank Niaga in relation with shareholder change to CIMB Group. Refer to this condition, it is very interesting to analize how Bank Niaga do the transforming process through it’s human resources strategy. This research use secondary data such as vision, strategy and business blue print 2010, internal and external HR related survey (i.e. engagement survey, climate survey, leadership survey), and also result from focus group discussion and employee voices. Purpose of this research is to analyze and formulate human resources strategy in order to aligned with company’s business strategy. The spesific purpose is especially to answer the 3 research question: how external business trend relate to internal business strategy and what is competitive advantage that company want to achieve. These competitive advantage will be analyze furtherly to determine what cultural capabilities that company needed to support company’s business strategy. From those cultural capabilities, will be formulate human resources strategies & programs which needed to create and enhancing the company’s cultural capabilities. This research come with conclusion that in order of supporting transformation process, company must have several cultural capabilities such as agility and adaptability, synergy and collaboration, fast innovation and execution, relationship sales orientation and high performance accountability. This thesis also have recommendations, how to develop and maintaining these cutural capabilities through human resources strategic and programs 2008 – 2010.
