Dampak kenaikan harga minyak goreng terhadap kelayakan usaha industri rumah tangga keripik tempe di Kecamatan Rawalo Kabupaten Banyumas

Keripik tempe merupakan makanan khas kabupaten Banyumas. Salah satu bahan baku pembuatan keripik tempe adalah minyak goreng yang telah mengalami kenaikan harga mulai awal Februari 2007. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak kenaikan harga minyak goreng terhadap kelayakan usaha industri rumah tangga keripik tempe di kecamatan Rawalo kabupaten Banyumas, mengetahui besarnya perubahan omset industri rumah tangga keripik tempe di kabupaten Banyumas setelah terjadinya kenaikan harga minyak goreng, mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keuntungan industri rumah tangga keripik tempe, dan kiat-kiat usaha yang dilakukan pengrajin keripik tempe dalam menyiasati meningkatnya biaya produksi akibat kenaikan harga minyak goreng. Metode dasar yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif analitis. Daerah penelitian adalah kecamatan Rawalo, sampel pengrajin ditentukan dengan metode sensus, sebanyak 49 industri rumah tangga. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis kelayakan usaha (R/C ratio, π/C ratio atau produktivitas modal, BEP Produksi, BEP Penerimaan, dan BEP Harga) dan analisis fungsi keuntungan Unit-Output-Price (UOP) Cobb-Douglas Profit Function. Hasil analisis menunjukkan (1) Industri rumah tangga keripik tempe tetap layak dipertahankan walaupun terjadi kenaikan harga minyak goreng (2) industri rumah tangga keripik tempe di kecamatan Rawalo mengalami penurunan omset penjualan sebesar Rp2.476.819,65 setelah terjadinya kenaikan harga minyak goreng. Hasil analisis fungsi keuntungan Unit-Output-Price (UOP) Cobb- Douglas Profit Function menunjukkan bahwa harga minyak goreng, harga kedelai, harga tepung kanji, kapasitas produksi, dan dummy periode sesudah kenaikan harga minyak goreng berpengaruh terhadap fungsi keuntungan industri rumah tangga keripik tempe. Kiat-kiat usaha yang dilakukan oleh pengrajin dalam menyiasati kenaikan harga minyak goreng adalah: menaikkan harga jual keripik, memperkecil ukuran tempe, mengurangi isi per bungkus, mengurangi kapasitas produksi, mengurangi frekuensi produksi, dan menambahkan ketela pohon dalam pembuatan tempe.

Tempe chips is traditional food from Banyumas regency. One of tempe chips main ingredients is cooking oil. Cooking oil price has increased since February 2007. The objectives of this study are to know of the impact to the feasibility of tempe chips home industry, to know decreasing omzet of tempe chips home industry after increasing cooking oil price, to know some factors which affects the profit of tempe chips home industry, and to know the strategy of the tempe chips home industry when the production cost is increase because of increase of cooking oil price. The fundamental method of this study is analytical descriptive. This research territory is Rawalo distric, further uses sensus method to determine 49 home industries. Analyses used this study are R/C ratio, π/C ratio, BEP production, BEP revenue, BEP price, and Unit-Output-Price (UOP) Cobb- Douglas Profit Function. The results of this study show 1) tempe chips home industries have to be maintained eventhough cooking oil price has increasing price (2) after increasing cooking oil price period tempe chips home industry has decreasing omzet Rp2.476.819,65. UOP Cobb-Douglas Profit Function shows cooking oil price, soybean price, cassava powder price, capacity production, dummy variable of before and after increasing cooking oil price period affect profit function of tempe chips home industry. The strategy that have tempe chips home industries doing are increase of the price of the output, change the size of tempe chips, decrease of capacity of tempe chips per pack, decrease of capacity production, decrease of frequency production, and add cassava to make tempe.
