Persepsi petugas laboratorium mikroskopis TB terhadap kegiatan-kegiatan untuk menurunkan error rate TB paru di Kabupaten Kaur

Dari setiap 100.000 penduduk terdapat 130 orang BTA positf dan menduduki peringkat 3 setelah Cina dan India (Depkes, 2003). Tuberkulosis juga merupakan penyebab kematian nomor 1 dari golongan penyakit infeksi (WHO, 1999), dan penyebab kematian nomor 3 setelah penyakit kardiovaskuler dan penyakit saluran pernafasan pada semua kelompok usia (SKRT, 1995). Dalam era globalisasi saat ini, tingginya kompetisi, kemandirian dan inovasi pada bidang pelayanan kesehatan menghadapkan para pelaku kesehatan tidak hanya bertumpu pada ketersediaan jenis pelayanan, aksesibilitas, dan kepuasan pasien akan tetapi lebih mengarah pada “quality safetyâ€. artinya lebih kepada tujuan mengutamakan keselamatan pasien secara konsisten dan terus menerus. . Tujuan : untuk mengetahui persepsi petugas laboratorium mikroskopis TB puskesmas terhadap kegiatan-kegiatan untuk menurunkan erorr rate TB Paru di Kabupaten Kaur. Metode penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan rancangan fenomenology. Unit analisis penelitian ini adalah petugas laboratorium mikroskopis TB Paru, kepala puskesmas dan wasor TB Kabupaten Kaur yang bertanggung jawab terhadap program pemberantasan dan pencegahan TB di Kabupaten Kaur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara mendalam dan observasi sarana prasarana laboratorium mikroskopis. Hasil : Menurut persepsi petugas mikroskopis TB paru di Kabupaten Kaur ada beberapa kegiatan yang dapat dilakukan untuk menurunkan error rate seperti melaksanakan pelatihan, penempatan petugas berdasarkan job description, memotivasi petugas oleh supervisor, standarisasi sarana prasarana dan logistik laboratorium, mengurangi beban kerja, menyediakan fasilitasi informasi seperti teknologi internet serta pemberian insentif untuk menunjang kinerja petugas berdasarkan risiko penularan dan kinerja. Kesimpulan : Petugas laboratorium mikroskopis TB memandang bahwa error rate perlu mendapat perhatian dari dinas kesehatan untuk itu untuk menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan petugas harus dilaksanakan pelatihan bagi petugas yang belum pelatihan dan refreshing bagi petugas yang sudah mengikuti pelatihan laboratorium mikrokopis, memfasilitasi teknologi informasi, saran prasarana laboratorium dan logistik serta pemberian insentif
Background: Tuberkulosis still form of greatest disease problem in Indonesia. In each 100.000 population there are 130 people with positif BTA and rank in third after China and India (Depkes, 2003). Tuberkulosis also form of first cause of death from the infectious disease (WHO, 1999), and third cause of mortality after cardiovaskuler and airway tract in all of age group (SKRT, 1995). In this globalization period, the high of competition, independency and innovation in health service sector had directed health provider not only based on service kind availability, accessibility, and patients satisfaction, but more directed to “quality safetyâ€. Its mean, its more directed to prioritize the patient safety concistently and continually. Objectives: To find out the perception of the TB microscopis laboratory health staff of the community health center to the activity in order to decrease error rate of Lung TB in Kaur Regency. Methods: The research used qualitative method by fenomenology design. The analysis unit of the research was the staff of Lung TB microscopy laboratory, the head of community health center and wasor of TB of Kaur Regency which responsible on TB eradication and prevention program in Kaur Regency. Data collecting be performed by in depth interview and observation on microscopy laboratories infrastructure. Results: According to the perception of the Lung TB microscopy staff in Kaur Regency, there are some activities that could be performed to decrease error rate as conducting training, locate the staff based on job description, motivate the staff by supervisor, standardization of infrastructure and logistic of the laboratories, reducing the work burden, provide information facilitating as internet technology as well as providing incentif to support the staff performance based on infection risk and the performance. Conclusions: The staff of Lung TB microscopic laboratoies considering that error rate need to get attention from the health department, thus to add the knowledge and skill of the staff, it must be performed training for the staff that had not get training yet and to refresh for the staff that ever get a training on microscopy laboratory, facilitate the information technology, infrastructure of the laboratories and logistic as well as provide incentive.
