Analisis perubahan profil jaringan lunak wajah pada perawatan maloklusi angle kelas II divisi I dengan metode Drobocky dan Smith :: Kajian sefalometri pada perawatan ortodontik teknik Begg

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan profil jaringan lunak wajah pada perawatan ortodontik teknik Begg pada maloklusi Angle Kelas II divisi 1 metode Drobocky dan Smith. Pengukuran sefalometri metode Drobocky dan Smith untuk mengetahui perubahan profil jaringan lunak wajah meliputi sudut nasolabial, sudut labiomental, kedalaman sulkus superior terhadap E-Line, protrusi bibir atas terhadap E-Line, protrusi bibir bawah terhadap E-Line, kedalaman sulkus inferior terhadap E-Line, protrusi bibir atas terhadap garis Sn-Pog′ , protrusi bibir bawah terhadap garis Sn-Pog′ , tinggi 1/3 wajah bagian bawah, panjang bibir atas dan jarak St-Me′. Penelitian dilakukan pada 28 pasangan sefalometri dari subjek laki-laki dan perempuan usia 18-30 tahun. Seluruh subjek dirawat dengan teknik Begg disertai pencabutan keempat gigi premolar pertama. Data yang telah didapat dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik uji-t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan perbedaan yang bermakna antara sebelum dan sesudah perawatan pada sudut nasolabial (p<0,05), sudut labiomental (p<0,05), kedalaman sulkus superior terhadap E-line (p<0,05), protrusi bibir atas terhadap Eline (p<0,05), protrusi bibir bawah terhadap E-line (p<0,05), kedalaman sulkus inferior terhadap E-line (p<0,05), protrusi bibir atas terhadap garis Sn-Pog’(p<0,05) , protrusi bibir bawah terhadap garis Sn-Pog’ (p<0,05), tinggi 1/3 wajah bagian bawah (p<0,05), panjang bibir atas (p<0,05), jarak St-Me’(p<0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian terjadi pembesaran sudut nasolabial, sudut labiomental, tinggi 1/3 wajah bagian bawah, panjang bibir atas dan jarak St-Me′, serta pengurangan kedalaman sulkus superior dan inferior, protrusi bibir atas dan bawah terhadap E-line dan garis Sn-Pog′.

The aim of this reserach was to know out the face soft tissue profile changes on Begg technique orthodontic treatment on Class II Division 1 Angle Malocclusion by Drobocky and Smith method. Cephalometric measurement with Drobocky and Smith method was to know changes the face soft tissue profile included nasolabial angle, labiomental angle, superior sulcus depth to E-line, upper lip protrusion to E-line, lower lip protrusion to E-line, inferior sulcus depth to E-line, upper lip protrusion to Sn-Pog′ line, lower lip protrusion to Sn-Pog′ line, 1/3 lower face height, upper lip length, and St-Me′ distance. This reserach was carried out to 28 pairs of cephalometries of male and female subjects aged between 18-30 years.The whole subjects was treated with Begg technique which was requiring extraction of four first pre-molars. The data were analyzed with paired-t-test statistics. The result of this reserach showed that there was a significant difference between the pre and post treatment on the nasolabial angle (p<0,05), labiomental angle (p<0,05), superior sulcus depth to E-line (p<0,05), upper lip protrusion to Eline (p<0,05), lower lip protrusion to E-line (p<0,05), inferior sulcus depth to E-line (p<0,05), upper lip protrusion to Sn-Pog’ line(p<0,05), lower lip protrusion to Sn- Pog’ line (p<0,05), 1/3 lower face height (p<0,05), upper lip length (p<0,05), and St- Me’ distance (p<0,05). Conclusion of this reserach were the enlargements of nasolabial angle, labiomental angle, lower face height, upper lip length, and St-Me′ distance, and the decreases of superior sulcus depth to E-line, upper lip protrusion to E-line, lower lip protrusion to E-line, inferior sulcus depth to E-line, upper lip protrusion to Sn-Pog′ line.
