Perbandingan penurunan kekuatan tekan open coil spring stainless steel dengan nikel titanium terhadap lama kompresi dan perendaman :: Penelitian eksperimental laboratories

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan penurunan kekuatan tekan antara open coil spring stainless steel (SS) dengan nikel titanium (Ni-Ti) terhadap lama kompresi dan perendaman dalam saliva buatan. Objek penelitian berjumlah 120 sampel terdiri dari 60 open coil spring stainless steel dan 60 open coil spring nikel titanium. Panjang masing-masing sampel 12 mm, berukuran 0,010 x 0,030 inci. Masing-masing open coil spring SS dan Ni-Ti dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok, kemudian dilakukan kompresi dan perendaman selama 1 minggu, 2 minggu, 3 minggu, 4 minggu, 5 minggu dan 6 minggu. Pengukuran kekuatan tekan awal dan akhir penelitian dilakukan dengan alat Tensile Testing Machine. Penurunan kekuatan tekan didapat dari selisih antara kekuatan tekan awal dan akhir, kemudian dilakukan uji statistik analisis variansi 2 jalur antara bahan dasar open coil spring dengan waktu kompresi dan perendaman. Perbedaan penurunan kekuatan tekan open coil spring stainless steel dan nikel titanium pada tiap-tiap minggu dilakukan uji t-test. Hasil penelitian pada uji statistik analisis variansi 2 jalur didapatkan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna (p<0,05) antara waktu kompresi dan perendaman selama 1 minggu, 2 minggu, 3 minggu, 4 minggu, 5 minggu dan 6 minggu pada bahan dasar open coil spring stainless steel maupun nikel titanium. Uji statistik t-test terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna p<0,05 terhadap penurunan gaya tekan antara open coil spring berbahan dasar stainless steel dan nikel titanium di tiap-tiap minggu (1 minggu, 2 minggu, 3 minggu, 4 minggu, 5 minggu dan 6 minggu) dimana open coil spring yang berbahan dasar stainless steel lebih besar penurunan kekuatan tekannya dibanding nikel titanium pada tiap-tiap minggu. Didapatkan penurunan kekuatan tekan open coil spring nikel titanium lebih kecil dibanding open coil spring stainless steel pada aktivasi 1 minggu, 2 minggu, 3 minggu, 4 minggu, 5 minggu dan 6 minggu.

The research aim was to know the comparison of pressure strength degradation the open coil spring stainless steel with titanium nickel to duration of compression and soaking in artificial saliva. The object of research consisted 120 sample which consisted of 60 open coil spring stainlees steel and 60 open coil spring titanium nickel with each dimension of length was 12 mm, size of the sample was 0,010 x 0,030 inch. Every sample was divided by 6 group. The compression and soak during then compress and soaked it sample during 1 week, 2 week, 3 week, 4 week, 5 week and 6 week. Early and final measurement of the research was conducted by Tensile Testing Machine. Pressure strength degradation has achieved from difference between initial and final pressure strength, then conduct statistical test analyze the variance 2 band between elementary substance of open coil spring with time of compression and soak. Test t-test has been done to know the difference of pressure strength degradation open coil spring stainless steel and titanium nickel in every weeks. The result of statistical test analyze variance 2 band hes showed a significant difference (p<0,05) between time compression and soaking during 1 week, 2 week, 3 week, 4 week, 5 week and 6 week to elementary substance of open coil spring significant difference (p<0,05) on pressure strength degradation between open coil spring with elementary substance of stainless steel nor titanium nickel in every weeks (1 week, 2 week, 3 week, 4 week, 5 week and 6 week) where pressure strength degradation of open coil spring with elementary substance of stainless steel was greater than titanium nickel in every weeks. Conclusion of the research was pressure strength degradation of open coil spring nickel titanium less than open coil spring stainless steel at 1 week, 2 week, 3 week, 4 week, 5 week and 5 week activation.
