Pengembangan Skala Minat Untuk Penjurusan Akademis Di Perguruan Tinggi

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan skala minat untuk penjurusan akademis yang valid serta reliabel. Teori Holland digunakan sebagai dasar teori. Teori ini membedakan minat individu dan model lingkungan menjadi 6 yakni realistis, investigatif, artistik, sosial, wira usaha serta konvensional. Aitem pada skala berupa suatu situasi yang sering dijumpai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, diikuti 6 pilihan jawaban yang menunjukkan 6 tipe minat. Penulisannya didasarkan pada indikator perilaku, sebagai usaha memenuhi validitas isi. Subjek diminta menentukan salah satu pilihan. Setiap pilihan jawaban memiliki skor 1. Setiap skor akan dijumlahkan berdasarkan tipe minatnya. Untuk kepentingan validasi skala ini, disusunlah angket pemilihan program studi. Penyusunannya dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan berbagai program studi dari beberapa perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Subjek diminta untuk memilih program studi yang sesuai dengan minatnya. Estimasi reliabilitas dilakukan untuk setiap tipe minat. Koefisien alpha berkisar antara 0,77-0,90, dengan jumlah aitem terseleksi untuk setiap tipe minat antara 28-43. Seleksi aitem didasarkan d>0,20. Validasi berdasarkan angket pemilihan program studi yang diuji dengan t-test menunjukkan semua harga p<0,01. Hal itu berarti terdapat perbedaan rerata yang sangat signifikan antara kelompok model lingkungan tertentu dan kelompok di luar model lingkungan tertentu tersebut, kelompok model lingkungan tertentu tersebut memiliki rerata yang lebih tinggi dibanding kelompok di luar model lingkungan tertentu tersebut. Pada akhirnya, skala minat akademis tetap terdiri atas 48 aitem, meskipun hasil seleksi aitem menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua dari aitem-aitem tersebut dipakai untuk masing-masing tipe minat. Tidak samanya jumlah aitem untuk setiap tipe minat ini menyebabkan diperlukannya skor standar dalam administrasi skala minat akademis ini.

The aim of this study was to develop a valid and reliable interest scale for college academic guide. Holland’s theory was used as the basis of theory. This theory differentiates people’s interest types and environmental models into 6 which are realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional. The items of the scale were some situations which are frequently found in the daily life, followed by 6 choices of answer which show 6 types of interest. Its process of writing was based on behavior indicators, as an effort to fulfill content validity. Subjects were asked to determine one of the 6 choices. Each choice of answer has score 1. Each score then was summed based on its interest’s type. For the sake of validation for this scale, college’s majors’ questionnaire was arranged. Its arranging was done by compiling various majors of some colleges in Indonesia. Subjects were asked to choose major that they like, according to their interests. Reliability of this scale was estimated for each type of interest. The alpha coefficients range from 0.77-0.90, with the selected item number range from 28-43 for each type. The item selection was based on d>0.20. The validation which was tested by t-test show that all of the value of p<0.01. It’s indicated that there is a very significant difference of mean between group of a certain environmental model and group outside it, the group of that certain environmental model has a higher mean than the group outside it. At last, academic scale of interest consists of 48 items, although the result of item selection shows that not all of those items are used for each type of interest. The difference number of item for each type cause the need of standard score for the administration of this scale.
